Waived by the Jaguars nine days ago, Underwood lasted just five days in New England. Stone-handed, Underwood's NFL future is not looking bright.

Patriots signed WR Tiquan Underwood and S Ross Ventrone.
The Pats are bringing the special teamer Ventrone back 20 days after waiving him. He may only be a practice body into September. Underwood can run as well as any receiver, but has horrible hands and shouldn't make the 53.

It's a bad sign for Underwood that he can't even last until final cuts on a team with one of the weakest receiving corps in the league. The 2009 seventh-rounder hasn't shown good enough hands to be counted on as a slot guy.
