Mathews (knee) practiced in full Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
After missing two games due to an MCL concern, Mathews handled every practice rep thrown his way to begin preparation for Week 14. Barring a setback, he'll should act as the Eagles' lead back Sunday against the Redskins, usurping some of the workload that Darren Sproles and Wendell Smallwood have taken on in Mathews' absence.

Head coach Doug Pederson confirmed prior to Wednesday's practice that Mathews (knee) will be able to participate in the Eagles' first session of the week.
EDGE Analysis
It was announced Monday that Mathews would return to practice Wednesday, and after avoiding any setbacks the last couple days, it appears he will do just that. It will not be clear until after practice if Mathews was limited at all, but his participation Wednesday at any level puts him on the right track toward returning to action Sunday against the Redskins.

Mathews (knee) will return to practice Wednesday, according to coach Doug Pederson.
EDGE Analysis
Mathews has missed Philadelphia's past two games due an MCL problem, but it appears he could re-enter the fold for Sunday's game against the Redskins. While his involvement over the course of this week should ultimately dictate his availability, it's promising to hear he'll participate in Wednesday's practice. If Mathews is cleared to suit up in Week 14, rookie Wendell Smallwood would figure to concede some of the extra carries he's been given lately.

Mathews (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Bengals.
EDGE Analysis
Head coach Doug Pederson did not waste any time ruling Mathews out for another week, saying at his Friday morning press conference that Mathews would be unable to play Sunday. Darren Sproles and Wendell Smallwood will again handle the bulk of the running back duties for the Eagles in Mathews' absence.

Matthews (knee) was a non-participant at practice Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Matthews hasn't practiced since suffering an MCL injury in Week 11, a span of five sessions. He has one more this week to prove his health, but the Eagles may have to trust in Darren Sproles and Wendell Smallwood to carry the backfield load for a second consecutive game.

Mathews (knee) will not take part in Wednesday's practice.
EDGE Analysis
Mathews did not take part in any of the Eagles' practice sessions last week, and he will kick this week off with another "DNP." Mathews is considered day-to-day and has a shot to play Sunday against the Bengals, but after not playing last week, he will likely have to get some work in at practice over the next couple days in order to take the field. If Mathews is sidelined again, Darren Sproles and Wendell Smallwood will again split the running back duties for the Eagles.

Mathews (knee) remains day-to-day Tuesday, according to head coach Doug Pederson.
EDGE Analysis
In Week 11, Mathews didn't return in Seattle due to a knee injury, placing a cloud over his upcoming practice participation. Indeed, he failed to practice last week and was eventually ruled out for Monday's game versus the Packers with what was termed an MCL issue in his right knee. Although Pederson's remarks bode well for Mathews' ability to practice this week, a wait-and-see approach is the prudent one to learn if the running back will be available Sunday in Cincinnati. No matter what goes down, Wendell Smallwood and Darren Sproles figure to hold down roles in the backfield for the rest of the season.

Mathews (knee) did not suit up for Friday's practice, Zach Berman of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mathews will sit out for the second straight day to give his sore knee additional rest. He will have one more opportunity to practice this week with the Eagles playing Monday, and he still has a chance to play in Week 12. However, even if he is able to get on the field, he could cede a chunk of his workload to Darren Sproles and/or Wendell Smallwood.

Mathews (knee) didn't practice Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
The Eagles' first injury report of Week 12 preparation backs up the prevailing belief that Mathews is more banged-up than Darren Sproles (rib), who practiced in full Thursday. According to Les Bowen of the Philadelphia Daily News, Mathews is expected to be available Monday versus the Packers, but his status will be noteworthy to watch in the coming days.
