The veteran signed with Cleveland this past week and figures to serve a mentoring role as the third quarterback behind Brian Hoyer and Johnny Manziel. Although he's familiar with offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan's system, Grossman will likely watch from the sidelines Monday as South Carolina product Connor Shaw takes the third-team reps.

That would be a risky proposition considering RGIII's health, but would leave Rex Grossman as the odd man out. Although he's one of Shanahan's favorite players, Grossman didn't attempt a single pass in 2012.
