Chubb carried the ball 23 times for 96 yards, adding 35 more yards on four receptions (seven targets) in Sunday's 20-13 loss to the Rams.

EDGE Analysis

Chubb was the only Brown to experience consistent success against a tough Rams defensive unit in the primetime showdown. Earlier this week head coach Freddie Kitchens said that he would try and get his feature back more involved by keeping him in on passing downs more often. He held true to his word, as Chubb received 100 percent of all running back touches after surrendering 11 total touches to other backs over the first two games of the season. The uptick in usage is a positive sign for the second-year back's fantasy owners, as true backfield workhorses are few and far between in today's NFL. Expect Chubb to continue to see the lion's share of touches against the Ravens on Sunday.

Coach Freddie Kitchens said Thursday that he's hopeful to find ways to get Chubb more touches in future games, Andrew Gribble of the Browns' official site reports.

EDGE Analysis

Kitchens wouldn't elaborate on how he might consider heightening Chubb's role on offense, though the coach did leave the door open for the running back to poach more third-down work from backups Dontrell Hillard and D'Ernest Johnson. Operating behind a suspect offensive line, Chubb has rumbled for 3.9 yards per carry and one touchdown to go with seven receptions for 46 yards while playing 65.5 percent of the Browns' offensive snaps through two weeks. With a tough opponent in the Rams on the docket Sunday, managing Chubb's workload may be a lesser concern than the prior two weeks as the 1-1 Browns look to keep up with the undefeated Ravens in the AFC North.

Chubb carried the ball 18 times for 62 rushing yards and one touchdown, while adding four receptions for 36 yards during Monday's 23-3 win against the Jets.

EDGE Analysis

Cleveland's offensive line remains a question mark on an otherwise superbly-talented roster, after highly-touted guard Kevin Zeitler was traded to the Giants this offseason in exchange for defensive end Oliver Vernon. That rearrangement of capital may become evident against stout front sevens as the season wares on, and it sprouted up Monday with Chubb managing just 3.0 yards per carry on eight attempts while the game was within one possession. Week 3 presents a matchup against a Rams defense that was scorched by Christian McCaffrey for 209 scrimmage yards and two touchdowns in the opener, but bounced back by holding Alvin Kamara to 60 total yards on 14 touches Sunday.

Chubb rushed 16 times for 74 yards and caught three of four targets for 10 yards in Sunday's 43-13 loss to the Titans.

EDGE Analysis

Chubb had a four-yard touchdown vultured by Dontrell Hilliard on the opening drive, and the Cleveland offense only got into scoring position one other time the rest of the way, with tight end David Njoku capping that drive off on a three-yard touchdown reception. While Chubb losing out on that touch near the goal line isn't what fantasy owners wanted to see, he ended up with a near-monopoly on rushing attempts (16 out of 20). Chubb's volume should climb if the Browns can play from ahead in future weeks, but this whole offense looked much less dangerous than anticipated in the opener.

Chubb won't suit up in Friday's preseason tilt against Tampa Bay, ESPN's Josina Anderson reports.

EDGE Analysis

Cleveland's coaching staff clearly feels Chubb doesn't need any preseason reps despite entering just his second NFL season, so he's getting the same treatment as a number of star running backs around the league and sitting out the exhibition slate entirely.

Chubb has been ruled out for Saturday's preseason contest against the Colts, Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com reports.

EDGE Analysis

The Browns have elected not to risk the health of their starting running back at Lucas Oil Stadium during the team's second preseason tilt, lending reserves Kareem Hunt (suspension), D'Ernest Johnson, A.J. Ouellette and Trayone Gray additional opportunities for reps with Chubb sidelined. Chubb's next chance to appear in preseason action will come Aug. 23 against the Buccaneers.

Chubb caught a 14-yard pass and enjoyed a 12-yard run during Thursday's 30-10 win over Washington.

EDGE Analysis

Chubb's touches came on back-to-back plays on the Browns' opening touchdown drive before resting for the remainder of the contest. Gaining some chunk yardage early is an encouraging beginning for Chubb, who coming off of an exciting rookie campaign. He figures to be plenty busy during the first half of the season with Kareeum Hunt serving a suspension, Duke Johnson Jr. in Houston, and little experienced depth behind him.

New head coach Freddie Kitchens said Chubb won't back down from any competition, Keith Britton of 923 The Fan reports.

EDGE Analysis

Kitchens was responding to inquiries about the recent signing of Kareem Hunt, who is expected to serve a lengthy suspension before he can suit up for his new team in a regular-season game. It was an unexpected move from a franchise that already has Chubb and Duke Johnson in the backfield -- especially after the former produced 5.2 yards per carry and 10 total touchdowns in 2018. Despite the brilliant rookie-year performance, the addition of Hunt does create some worries about Chubb's workload for the second half of the 2019 campaign.

Chubb totaled 24 rushing yards on nine carries in Sunday's 26-24 loss to the Ravens. He also added two receptions for -4 yards.

EDGE Analysis

Chubb was bottled up by one of the best rushing defenses in the league, leaving him four yards shy of breaking the 1,000 rushing-yard barrier. Considering he had only 125 yards on the ground through six weeks, it's clear Chubb came on strong in the second half of the season after Carlos Hyde was traded. Even with a disappointing final game, it is clear that Chubb can work as a featured workhorse back, and he will almost certainly enter the 2019 season with that role for the Browns. The only downside to his game thus far is his lack of activity in the passing game, as he only surpassed 40 receiving yards twice this season.

Chubb rushed for 112 yards on 19 attempts, adding two receptions for three yards during Sunday's 26-18 win against the Bengals.

EDGE Analysis

Chubb has been an absolute workhorse since the trade of Carlos Hyde on Oct. 19, leading the NFL in percentage of team carries over that span (18.6 per game since Week 7, compared to 16 combined attempts over the first six weeks of the season). With an impressive outing against Cincinnati on Sunday, the rookie back now has consecutive 100-yard rushing performances for the first time in his career. He has, however, failed to find the end zone over the past two weeks, after racking up a ridiculous seven total touchdowns between Weeks 9 and 14. Upcoming in Week 17 is a tough inter-division showdown against a Ravens defense that ranks top-5 in both rushing (994) and receiving yards (448) allowed to opposing running backs this season.
