Brandon Brooks restructuring his contract may mean the Eagles keep Kendricks rather than trade or release him, Zack Rosenblatt of NJ.com reports.

EDGE Analysis

The team could save $4.4 million in cap space getting rid of the 27-year-old, and after the signings of Corey Nelson and Paul Worrilow, it seemed Kendricks was likely on his way out of town. However, the Brooks restructuring means the six-year vet doesn't necessarily need to be moved, and whether he stays or goes now is more likely to depend on if the Eagles draft another linebacker. Following a lackluster 2016, Kendricks rebounded last season with 77 tackles (55 solo) and two sacks. He may find it difficult to repeat those numbers if he stays in Philadelphia given the current stable of linebackers currently on the roster.

Kendricks underwent surgery on his ankle Thursday, Tim McManus of ESPN reports.

EDGE Analysis

The procedure Kendricks underwent is described as a "clean-up" that should only sideline him for a few weeks. As a result, the linebacker should be back on his feet in time for the start of the Eagles' offseason workout program next month.

Kendricks posted 77 total tackles (55 solo), two sacks and six passes defensed across 15 games during the 2017 regular season.

EDGE Analysis

Kendricks' defensive snap count jumped back up to 2015 levels, and accordingly he came just shy of his statistical output from that same season. The 27-year-old was on the field sparingly through the first few weeks of 2017, but his 17-tackle game Week 6 at Carolina ensured that his per-game snap count would almost double thereafter. Despite the increased opportunity, he was never able to rack up tackles consistently and only averaged five per game from Weeks 8-16. The California product's contract status makes him a constant subject of trade rumors, but if he is back in Philadelphia in 2018, similar production can be expected.

Kendricks (foot) is active for Monday's contest against the Raiders, Tim McManus of ESPN.com reports.

EDGE Analysis

Kendricks followed a limited/full/full practice regimen this week but still received a questionable designation for this contest. Given the all-clear to play Week 16, the weakside linebacker will seek out a fruitful outing versus Oakland's 22nd-ranked offense.

Kendricks has drawn a questionable designation ahead of Monday's game against the Raiders due to a foot injury, Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

EDGE Analysis

Kendricks was absent from the injury report throughout the week, so it is unclear when he picked up the injury. Kamu Grugier-Hill would likely fill in at weakside linebacker should he ultimately sit out. Final confirmation on his status is unlikely until closer to kickoff Monday.

Kendricks recorded nine tackles (eight solo) during the Eagles' Week 15 victory over the Giants.

EDGE Analysis

Kendricks' tackle total tied his second highest output on the season. All of his production came across 61 defensive snaps (69.0 percent). The 27-year-old outside linebacker will look to carry his momentum into the Eagles' Week 16 matchup versus the Raiders.

Kendricks made nine tackles (four solo) in Sunday's loss to the Seahawks.

EDGE Analysis

The tackle total was his highest since Week 6 at Carolina, and he hadn't exceeded four in any of his previous three contests. He is not a recommended IDP option in Week 14 against a Rams offense that does not give up many points to linebackers.

Kendricks racked up seven tackles (six solo), one sack and one pass breakup Sunday against the 49ers.

EDGE Analysis

Seven tackles is a solid number, but it's a huge regression from the 17 tackles he made against Carolina in Week 6. Of course, that was an anomaly, and Kendricks has yet to show the consistency that's needed to be a long-term IDP threat. Therefore, he's a risky IDP option, but he has a high ceiling so it may be worth it if he's able to log over 50 defensive snaps for the third consecutive game.

Kendricks (hamstring) was a full participant at the Eagles' practice Wednesday.

EDGE Analysis

Kendricks was inactive for Monday night's victory over the Redskins, and the additional rest appears to have paid off. The Eagles could ill afford another injury to their linebacking corp, with starting middle linebacker Jordan Hicks lost for the season with a ruptured Achilles.

Kendricks (hamstring) is inactive for Monday's contest versus the Redskins, Tim McManus of ESPN.com reports.

EDGE Analysis

In past seasons, Kendricks has dealt with hamstring issues a few times, including three DNPs in a four-game stretch in 2015 and some time during the 2016 preseason. On this occasion, he didn't land on the injury report until Friday, when a limited practice was repeated one day later. The Eagles may just be exercising caution with their starting weakside linebacker, but in his absence, some combo of special-teamers Najee Goode and Kamu Grugier-Hill should be given an opportunity to contribute on defense.
