Floyd (calf) didn't participate in practice Wednesday.

EDGE Analysis

The wide receiver's room in Minnesota is a bit banged up at the moment, as both Floyd and Stefon Diggs (groin) focused on rehabbing injuries instead of taking part in the first practice of the week. With Diggs out of the lineup Sunday against the Packers, Floyd started but hauled in just one of three passes for five yards before departing with a calf concern. The combination of a lack of production and compromised health don't make Floyd an appealing option, especially once Diggs is cleared to play again.

Floyd (calf) is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Packers.

EDGE Analysis

Floyd started Sunday's game since Stefon Diggs (groin) was out. He hauled in one reception for just five yards, and Jarius Wright will gain more snaps in Floyd's absence.

Floyd will start Sunday's game against the Packers with Stefon Diggs (groin) sidelined, Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

EDGE Analysis

After completing a four-game suspension, Floyd hauled in his only target for 19 yards while playing 46 percent of the offensive snaps in his Vikings debut Monday in Chicago. In Diggs' absence, expect Floyd's workload to increase, though he may still work in a rotation with Laquon Treadwell as the No. 2 wide receiver behind Adam Thielen.

Floyd figures to take on an increased role with Stefon Diggs (groin) ruled out for Sunday's game against the Packers, Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com reports.

EDGE Analysis

Floyd played 46 percent of offensive snaps while making his season debut in Monday's 20-17 win over the Bears, hauling in his lone target for a 19-yard gain. Laquon Treadwell actually played more snaps (60 percent), but he didn't record a target and continues to be a complete non-factor in the passing game. The second-year wideout has caught just five passes for 42 yards on 10 targets, despite playing at least 40 percent of the offensive snaps in every game this season. Floyd could serve as Minnesota's No. 2 receiver this weekend, and he'll have a good shot to handle the No. 3 role once Diggs returns.

Floyd had one reception for 19 yards on his only target in Monday's win at Chicago.

EDGE Analysis

While Minnesota's passing offense struggled Monday, Floyd played just the fourth most snaps on offense of the Vikings' receivers. He payed 32 of 70 snaps on offense, according to Pro Football Focus. Laquon Treadwell played more snaps as the third receiver (41) but did not have a target. It may take awhile before Floyd becomes a significant part of the passing game.

Floyd was activated to the 53-man roster Monday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

EDGE Analysis

Floyd is expected to play in Monday's game against the Bears, though he may only be the No. 4 or 5 receiver. With Laquon Treadwell sitting on just five catches for 42 yards through four games, Floyd should have a chance to push for the No. 3 role if he doesn't get it out of the gate.

Floyd says he's "in shape and ready to go" to return from his four-game suspension this week, but is unclear of his role, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

EDGE Analysis

It's not clear how many snaps on offense Floyd will get, but neither Jarius Wright n"r Laquon Treadwell made much of a presence in his absence. He'll likely quickly ascend to the third-receiver role, but his absence may be limited with Case Keenum at quarterback.

Floyd (suspension) had one reception for ten yards in Sunday's preseason win over the 49ers.

EDGE Analysis

Floyd didn't get time with the first-team offense and hasn't looked strong this preseason. It was thought Floyd had a clear lead after Zimmer's comments, but a lackluster preseason has left some doubt. Floyd will battle Laquon Treadwell and Jarius Wright for the third receiver role when he returns from a four-game suspension.

Floyd (suspension) had two receptions for 16 yards in Friday's preseason loss at Seattle.

EDGE Analysis

Floyd drew raves from head coach Mike Zimmer during training camp, but he hasn't been overly impressive during Minnesota's first two preseason games (four receptions for 36 yards). Floyd will miss the first four preseason games due a suspension. He'll battle Laquon Treadwell and Jarius Wright for the third receiver role when he returns. It was thought he had a clear lead after Zimmer's comments, but the first two preseason games are leaving some doubt.

Floyd has been impressive in training camp so far and may be playing his way into the team's plans for when he returns from a four-game suspension, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. "[He's looked] pretty dang good," coach Mike Zimmer said.

EDGE Analysis

Floyd has been getting time as the third receiver with Laquon Treadwell missing time with a leg injury. Treadwell and other third-receiver candidates will only have four weeks in the regular season to show they belong to play over Floyd, otherwise they'll likely head to the bench. Floyd should see plenty of action in preseason games, so we'll get a better read on how he may fit into the offense.
