Stafford completed 28 of 42 passes for 308 yards with a touchdown and an interception in Sunday's 22-10 loss to the Cowboys.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran quarterback was under constant pressure all day, but when Stafford had a bit of time he was able to move the ball. However, when he didn't he got sacked five times and fumbled on two of them, with DeMarcus Lawrence returning one of those fumbles for a 19-yard TD. It was Stafford's first 300-yard performance of the year, but his 5:7 TD:INT through five games is a major regression from his 2021 numbers. He'll look to cut down on the turnovers in Week 6 against the Panthers.

Stafford completed 32 of 48 passes for 254 yards, no touchdowns and one interception in Monday's 24-9 loss to San Francisco. He added six yards on two rushing attempts and lost a fumble.
EDGE Analysis
San Francisco's defense flummoxed Stafford throughout the night and sacked him seven times, as the Rams struggled to move the ball on most of their drives and settled for field goals whenever they got any momentum going. It was still a one-possession game in the fourth quarter until Stafford's back-breaking pick-six, which was taken 52 yards to the house by budding defensive star Talanoa Hufanga. Stafford ended Los Angeles' next possession with a fumble, putting to bed any doubt about the final result. He'll bring an alarmingly poor 4:6 TD:INT into a tough Week 5 matchup against the talented Dallas defense.

Stafford completed 18 of 25 passes for 249 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions in Sunday's 20-12 win over the Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
Neither offense could get much going, and when the Rams did get close to the end zone they relied on their ground game to punch in the ball. Stafford had thrown at least one TD in 23 straight games to begin his tenure in Los Angeles, including last year's playoff run to a Super Bowl title, and he'll look to begin a new streak in Week 4 on the road against the 49ers.

Stafford completed 27 of 36 pass attempts for 272 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions in Sunday's 31-27 win over Atlanta.
EDGE Analysis
Stafford led the Rams on touchdown drives for three of the team's first four possessions. He capped two of those three drives with touchdown passes of one and three yards. Despite the positive portions of his performance, Stafford also turned the ball over twice and was far less efficient from a scoring perspective in the second half. While the Rams walked away with a win Sunday, Stafford has thrown three touchdowns as compared to five interceptions across his first two games of the campaign.

Stafford completed 29 of 41 passes for 240 yards with one touchdown and three interceptions in the Rams' 31-10 loss to the Bills on Thursday night. He also rushed once for two yards and fumbled once but recovered.
EDGE Analysis
Stafford's final numbers were serviceable except for the interceptions, but the actual on-field results were much more lackluster. Two of the veteran signal-caller's three interceptions came in Bills territory, and Stafford also was under constant duress, as evidenced by the whopping seven sacks he took. His connection with Cooper Kupp -- who he hit on 13 occasions for 128 yards and a touchdown -- was about the only aspect of his play that bore resemblance to his performance during last year's title-winning campaign, and he'll therefore have plenty to work on going into a Week 2 home matchup against the Falcons a week from Sunday.

Stafford underwent a procedure on his right elbow earlier in the offseason in addition to receiving an anti-inflammatory injection, but the quarterback reiterated a few days ago that he expects to have "no limitations" heading into Thursday's season opener versus the Bills, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Rams head coach Sean McVay had previously confirmed earlier in the summer that Stafford received the injection, which McVay described as a treatment method that was "a little bit abnormal for a quarterback." Schefter's report of Stafford requiring a procedure for his throwing elbow is new information, but the 34-year-old supposedly feels better heading into the 2022 campaign than he did at this point in 2021, when he played through lingering pain in the elbow. The injury wasn't apparent in his production, as Stafford tied his career high with 41 touchdown passes while averaging a strong 8.1 yards per attempt during the regular season before guiding the Rams to a Super Bowl title in February. Stafford wasn't included on the Rams' injury report leading up to Thursday's opener, and McVay mentioned that any potential management plan for the quarterback's elbow will be "no different" from 2021.

Rams head coach Sean McVay said Sunday that Stafford (elbow) will have no limitations during Thursday's season opener against the Bills, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Stafford dealt with discomfort in his right elbow that required an offseason injection, but he's since returned to full practices and won't have any limitations during the season opener. Per Rodrigue, McVay said Sunday that the Rams plan to manage Stafford's arm similarly to how they did last season, so it appears to be an ongoing issue despite it being labeled as an "abnormal" injury at first. When asked if Stafford could throw 50-plus passes Thursday, McVay said, "no hesitation."

Stafford (elbow) put together another full practice during Tuesday's scrimmage, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Stafford also logged a full session Monday in what was termed a shortened practice. At the time, coach Sean McVay said Stafford would handle every rep Tuesday, which came to pass. McVay added that Stafford displayed "great energy, great command. Threw the ball incredibly accurately. Really activated all parts of our pass game." Stafford tended to discomfort in his right elbow this offseason, which followed him into training camp. The Rams and McVay don't seem to be particularly worried about the issue, but Stafford has rested at times and also had limitations on the field, so his ascension to all activity in back-to-back practices is an encouraging sign.

Stafford (elbow) was a full participant in team sessions during the Rams' shortened practice Monday, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Stafford first resumed throwing during individual sessions in practice last Tuesday after missing time this offseason while dealing with right elbow discomfort, per Barshop. Rams coach Sean McVay also said that the 34-year-old signal-caller is scheduled to be a full participant during the team's longer scrimmage Tuesday. Stafford's ability to participate in further team sessions would be an encouraging sign for his availability heading into Week 1 and beyond.

Stafford (elbow) is throwing in individual drills Tuesday, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Stafford continues to manage elbow discomfort after an offseason injection, returning to practice Tuesday just as coach Sean McVay predicted a day earlier. The 34-year-old QB has been in and out of practice throughout training camp, with the Rams remaining optimistic he'll be ready for Week 1 against Buffalo. There is some chance the elbow is a problem for Stafford all year, potentially impacting his practice availability even if he's able to play in games.
