Forte (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Chargers.
EDGE Analysis
As is Elijah McGuire (illness), but if both are able to suit up Sunday, they'd be part of a three-back committee that also includes Bilal Powell. Such an arrangement caps Forte's fantasy upside in Week 16, though if he does play, the veteran RB could see enough touches in a Bryce Petty-helmed offense to merit a look in deeper formats.

Forte (knee) isn't participating in Thursday's practice, Andy Vasquez of The Bergen Record reports.
EDGE Analysis
Forte sat out all three of the Jets' practices in Week 15 before eventually suiting up for the team's 31-19 loss to the Saints, so his back-to-back absences to begin Week 16 preparations doesn't necessarily mean his status for Sunday's matchup with the Chargers is in peril. With the inexperienced Bryce Petty set to make his second start at quarterback, the Jets are expected to lean heavily on the running game in Week 16 if the game flow allows for it, but that won't be enough to make Forte a reliable fantasy play while he continues to share work with Bilal Powell and Elijah McGuire.

Forte (knee) didn't practice Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Though he hasn't logged much practice work in recent weeks, Forte managed to suit up for each of the Jets' last four games, gaining 121 yards on 38 carries and 64 yards on seven receptions in that stretch. His status nonetheless needs to be monitored leading up to Sunday's game against the Chargers, considering there isn't much incentive to have the 33-year-old push through a lingering injury. The Jets might even decide to hold Forte out, which would allow them to take a better look at rookie sixth-round pick Elijah McGuire as the season approaches its conclusion.

Forte rushed seven times for 24 yards and hauled in two of five pass attempts for ten additional yards in Sunday's 31-19 loss in New Orleans.
EDGE Analysis
His long rush of the day went for 11 yards, and his five targets were good for second on the team along with Jermaine Kearse. While the 32-year-old wasn't able to connect with Bryce Petty as much as hoped, the target share was still promising heading into a Week 16 matchup with the Chargers. Nevertheless, as part of a three-back rotation, Forte remains little more than a dart throw as most fantasy leagues enter the championship round.

Forte (knee) is active for Sunday's game against the Saints.
EDGE Analysis
Forte was held out of practice throughout the week due to the knee injury, which has slowed him since the beginning of November. It appears skipping the practices afforded Forte some much-needed maintenance, however, as the Jets will clear him to play his fourth consecutive game. Though the unproven Bryce Petty's entry into the starting role could result in the Jets relying on a run-centric attack that also included more low-risk throws to the team's cadre of tailbacks, Forte's place in a backfield committee that also includes Bilal Powell and Elijah McGuire will continue to limit his fantasy upside. Forte hasn't logged more than 40 snaps in any of his past six appearances, limiting him to no more than 96 scrimmage yards in any contest.

Forte (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Saints, Eric Allen of the Jets' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Forte's situation is worth monitoring closely as Sunday's 1:00 ET kickoff approaches. If he's able to suit up Sunday, he'd be in line to share snaps out of the Jets backfield with Bilal Powell, and of late, Forte has been the team's favored third-down option. In the event that Forte is scratched, Powell would be in line to see added work in Week 15, thus boosting his fantasy upside. With Bryce Petty now at quarterback in the wake of Josh McCown's season-ending hand injury, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com relays that one "distinct tendency" displayed by Petty when he saw starting action last season, is that "he threw a lot of checkdowns" to Powell.

Forte (knee) didn't participate in Thursday's practice, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Forte could get back on the practice field in some capacity Friday, but regardless of what he's able to do that day, it's expected that he'll carry a questionable designation into Sunday's game against the Saints. The Jets may not decide on Forte's fate until after evaluating him during pregame warmups, making him a shaky fantasy option in Week 15. Even if Forte suits up, he'll have to share snaps out of the backfield with Bilal Powell, thereby limiting his upside.

Forte (knee) was not present for practice Wednesday, Brian Costello of the New York Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
With no reported setbacks in Week 14's shutout loss to Broncos, Forte -- who logged 26 snaps in the contest -- figures to return to practice Thursday, as he did the last two weeks after sitting out Wednesday's session. The larger issue for those considering Forte in Week 15 lineups is that he's in a time-share with Bilal Powell, that saw Forte log six carries for 13 yards and two catches for 21 yards this past Sunday. For his part, Powell ran the ball 13 times for 35 yards against a rugged Denver run D. Looking ahead to this weekend's tilt at New Orleans, both backs could find a little more running room, with the Saints allowing an average of 114.3 rushing yards to date.

Forte rushed eight times for 13 yards and caught two of three pass attempts for 21 yards in Sunday's 23-0 defeat in Denver.
EDGE Analysis
The eight touches were his fewest since Week 3, and he didn't do much with them thanks to a stifling Denver defense. Even so, it continued an up-and-down pattern of between eight and 15 touches in alternating games over the last four weeks, making it very hard to trust the 32-year-old in the middle of the fantasy playoffs. The schedule doesn't help his case either, as the Jets travel to New Orleans in Week 15.

Forte (knee) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Broncos.
EDGE Analysis
Forte, who was held out of Friday's practice, is out there if you need him Sunday, but given that he's in line to share work in the Jets' Week 14 backfield with Bilal Powell, as well as Elijah McGuire to a lesser degree, Forte is a speculative play, when also considering that he's been managing a knee issue.
