Shenault won't play in Friday's preseason game against the Browns due to a hamstring injury, Michael DiRocco of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Missing preseason action is the last thing the 2020 second-round pick needs to carve out meaningful snaps heading into Week 1 now that he's primarily running with the second-string offense. Based on reports out of camp, Shenault's main role this season might be backing up Christian Kirk in the slot.

Shenault won't play in the Hall of Fame Game against the Raiders on Thursday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Participants in this exhibition rarely play regulars on either offense or defense, so this comes as no surprise. Shenault will be joined by Christian Kirk, Marvin Jones, Zay Jones, and Jamal Agnew on the sideline, leaving Laquon Treadwell, Tim Jones, Jeff Cotton, Kevin Austin and Marvin Hall, among others, available to Jacksonville at wide receiver.

Coach Doug Pederson has been impressed by Shenault during minicamp and OTAs, but the wideout is still likely to begin spring training as Jacksonville's No. 4 receiver, John Reid of the Florida Times-Union reports.
EDGE Analysis
Shenault had a disappointing 2021 campaign with 63 catches for 619 yards and zero touchdowns, and he also finished with 10 drops. The 2020 second-round pick was unable to take advantage of increased opportunities due to injuries in the receiver room, and the Jaguars have now upgraded the position during the offseason by signing Christian Kirk and Zay Jones. Marvin Jones also remains in the mix, leaving Shenault to battle Laquon Treadwell and Jamal Agnew for the No. 4 spot on the depth charter in training camp. Shenault will need to prove his worth in 2022 to warrant fantasy consideration after being a failed sleeper pick last year.

Shenault recorded five receptions on seven targets for 62 yards in Sunday's 26-11 win over the Colts.
EDGE Analysis
Shenault finished second on the team in targets, receptions and yards, and he was out-produced on the team by only Marvin Jones. As could be expected, Shenault worked primarily in the short areas of the field and relied heavily on yardage after the catch for his production. The end result was Shenault's best performance since Week 4. Despite the campaign ending on a positive note, there's no denying that this season was a big disappointment for Shenault, as he failed to find the end zone and had minimal improvement over his rookie campaign from a statistical standpoint.

Shenault caught two of three targets for 13 yards during Sunday's 50-10 loss to New England.
EDGE Analysis
Shenault returned from the reserve/COVID-19 list after a one-game absence and finished fourth on the team in targets, trailing Marvin Jones, Laquon Treadwell and Tavon Austin. The 2020 second-round pick will enter the final game of the season with 58 catches for 557 yards and zero touchdowns in 14 games.

Shenault (shoulder/foot) isn't listed on the Jaguars' injury report ahead of Sunday's game against the Patriots.
EDGE Analysis
Shenault was activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list Friday, but prior to being deactivated, he had been tending to shoulder and foot injuries. Evidently, he's moved past both health concerns and is in line to return to action after missing the Jaguars' Week 16 loss to the Jets. In 14 games to date, Shenault is averaging four catches (on 6.4 targets) for 38.9 receiving yards, numbers that give him a degree of utility in PPR formats.

Shenault (shoulder/foot) was activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Shenault missed Week 16 after landing on the COVID-19 list last week, but he's back on the active roster ahead of Sunday's matchup with the Patriots. The 23-year-old was nursing foot and shoulder injuries before going on the virus list, and his participation level at Friday's practice should provide an idea of his outlook for this weekend.

Shenault remains on the reserve/COVID-19 list ahead of Sunday's game against the Jets.
EDGE Analysis
Until Shenault -- who was dealing with shoulder and foot issues prior to landing on the list -- clears the NFL's COVID protocols, Tavon Austin is a candidate to see added snaps alongside Marvin Jones and Laquon Treadwell. To add wideout depth ahead of Week 16 action, the Jaguars elevated Josh Hammond from their practice squad.

Shenault (shoulder/foot) was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Shenault has been limited at practice this week due to shoulder and foot injuries, and he's now sidelined due to league protocols. He'll have a difficult time gaining clearance to return to the active roster in time for Sunday's matchup with the Jets. If Shenault is unavailable, Tavon Austin should see increased run as Jacksonville's No. 3 wideout this weekend.

Shenault (shoulder/foot) was a limited participant in practice Thursday, John Reid of the Florida Times Union reports.
EDGE Analysis
Shenault's limited participation Thursday is an encouraging sign after he sat out practice Wednesday. The pair of injuries will likely land him on Friday's injury report, but it's looking like Shenault will most likely be able to play Sunday against the Jets. Jacksonville's second-round selection in the 2020 NFL Draft is still searching for his first touchdown of the season.
