Britt signed with the Browns.

EDGE Analysis

The Browns confirmed Britt is joining the franchise on a four-year contract for a reported $32.5 million, including $17 million guaranteed, according to Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer. The sizable contract should ensure Britt of a starting job opposite Corey Coleman, unless the Browns surprisingly decide to hand out another big contract to retain Terrelle Pryor. The 28-year-old Britt is coming off the first 1,000-yard season of his career, and while he should see plenty of snaps and targets in Cleveland, it's unclear who will be throwing him the ball. Poor quarterback play seemingly has been the lone constant throughout Britt's unorthodox career.

Britt is expected to sign a four-year, $32.5 million deal with the Browns on Thursday, ESPN's Adam Caplan reports.

EDGE Analysis

The report, which was later confirmed by NFL.com's Ian Rapoport, will send Britt to an organization that has been perpetually in turmoil at the quarterback position, to put it lightly. The Browns have the No. 1 and 12 picks in the draft this season, however, so that's one position that could be addressed. Britt has played eight NFL seasons, but set career highs in both receptions (68) and receiving yards (1,002) with the Rams in 2016. Whether or not Britt can keep up that pace will largely depend on his supporting cast, as it's currently unclear if it will be Robert Griffin or a rookie quarterback under center for most of 2017. Still only 28 years old, Britt's addition should help cushion the team from the pending loss of Terrelle Pryor, who will officially become a free agent Thursday. Britt's signing doesn't necessarily mean they have abandoned plans to re-sign Pryor, but instead provides the Browns with an insurance policy if he's wowed by another offer.

Britt, who is an unrestricted free agent this offseason, is not anticipated to return to the Rams, ESPN's Alden Gonzalez reports.

EDGE Analysis

Britt posted career-highs in receptions (68), targets (111) and yards (1,002) despite dealing with mostly dreadful quarterback play this past season. While that success makes the timing of Britt's impending free agency rather opportune, new Rams coach Sean McVay may prefer to pursue more consistent receiving threats, including a pair of wideouts he coached in Washington, DeSean Jackson and Pierre Garcon. That scenario would likely result in Britt signing elsewhere, potentially giving the 28-year-old a chance to pair with a more reliable quarterback, but likely within an offense less dependent on Britt to cover its deficiencies.

Britt (shoulder) is inactive for Sunday's Week 17 tilt versus the Rams, Myles A. Simmons of the team's official site reports.

EDGE Analysis

Britt was doubtful heading into Sunday, so the designation comes as little surprise. The veteran receiver wraps up 2016 with career highs in receptions (68) and yards (1,002). In his stead, Tavon Austin, Brian Quick and Pharoh Cooper would figure to be the top targets for Jared Goff.

Britt (shoulder) is listed as doubtful to play Sunday against the Cardinals.

EDGE Analysis

Britt didn't practice at all this week, so his 2016 campaign is likely to end with a career-high 68 receptions on 11 targets for 1,002 yards and five touchdowns in 15 appearances. If he's indeed unavailable Sunday, Brian Quick would figure to be promoted to a starting wideout position.

Britt (shoulder) was a non-participant at practice Wednesday, Myles Simmons of the Rams' official site reports.

EDGE Analysis

Britt carried a shoulder injury into Saturday's game against the 49ers and lasted just one half before he was ruled out with one catch for 15 yards to his name. The Rams' No. 1 wide receiver is a candidate to take a seat in Week 17, as a loss to the Cardinals would guarantee a top-6 selection in the 2017 draft. His activity level (or lack thereof) in the coming days will shed light on such an eventuality.

Interim head coach John Fassel said Monday that Britt (shoulder) will be day-to-day this week, Myles Simmons of the Rams' official site reports.

EDGE Analysis

Britt's prep for Week 16 was hindered by a shoulder injury, but he toughed it out Saturday versus the 49ers before leaving the game by halftime. If he's able to suit up Sunday against the Cardinals, he'll look to expand upon career highs across the board outside of touchdowns, as his five scores are four short of the nine he gathered in as a Titan in 2010.

Britt has been ruled out of Saturday's contest against the 49ers due to a shoulder injury, the Los Angeles Times reports.

EDGE Analysis

In the first half, Britt's 15-yard reception helped him reach 1,000 yards for the first time in his eight-year career. However, a shoulder injury will stop him from expanding upon his accomplishment, at least in Week 16. For the rest of the game, Jared Goff will have to rely upon Tavon Austin and Lance Kendricks to fuel the passing attack.

Britt (shoulder) practiced fully Thursday, Myles Simmons of the Rams' official site reports.

EDGE Analysis

Because Britt was limited on the Rams' estimated injury report Wednesday, the listing can be taken with a grain of salt after handling every rep at Thursday's session. He's been a model of consistency within an unreliable offense otherwise, racking up at least 50 yards receiving 10 times, reaching the 100-yard threshold twice, and scoring five touchdowns in 14 games this season. He'll look to uphold his end of the bargain Saturday versus a 49ers defense that ranks dead last in touchdowns allowed to wideouts with 21.

Britt was limited in Wednesday's practice due to a shoulder injury.

EDGE Analysis

With a modest 50-yard performance last Thursday in Seattle, Britt fell out of the top 10 in terms of receiving yards to 13th overall, from which he boasts 987 yards to date. Because the Rams have been afforded extra time to prepare for Week 16, his status doesn't seem to be in jeopardy for Saturday's divisional matchup against the 49ers. If he indeed suits up, he'll be facing one of the most appealing secondaries for fantasy purposes, as San Francisco has given up the most touchdowns (21, which is tied with Green Bay) to wide receivers this season.
