Julian Blackmon Practicing On Limited Basis rotoballer.com Fri 6/3/22 10:37 AM

Indianapolis Colts safety Julian Blackmon (Achilles), who was limited to just six games last year due to a ruptured Achilles, isn't practicing in full yet with the team at organized team activities, but he expects to have few limitations when training camp starts in July. Blackmon isn't a rush to get back to full speed, and the Colts will likely monitor his repetitions at training camp. However, barring a setback this summer, all signs point to the 23-year-old being ready to go for Week 1 ...

Confirmed via @APMarkLong that Justin Blackmon DID apply for reinstatement and was denied. — Mike Dempsey (@md_1010xl) May 9, 2015 I suppose there is good news and bad news with wide receiver Justin Blackmon reportedly being denied for reinstatement. Will Justin Blackmon be reinstated this year? If he does get reinstated, can he stay clean and out of trouble? What can we expect, fantasy-wise, out of Blackmon and the other Jacksonville offensive skill players, if these things come to pass?

Wally's World: Pre-Combine Edition fantasysharks.com Wed 2/11/15 7:00 AM

The NFL Combine is fast approaching and I am a junkie for it. Sure it’s a glorified dog and pony show but it's also hours and hours of Mike Mayock waxing poetic. I have been a Mayock slappy for a very long time and am not ashamed to admit it. After digging out from yet another significant snowfall, it’s time for another look at some things that this old pundit finds interesting as we head into the 2015 fantasy football season. That was quite a Super Bowl, eh? Yes, I believe that Seattle should have run the ball on second down. Still doesn’t diminish how enjoyable the game was to watch (unless you happen to be a Seattle fan) and the rollercoaster ride the second half was. Getting some help is a smart move by Johnny Manziel. Get a handle on your demons and then deal with whether or not a viable NFL career is in the making. Manziel’s teammate is another story and I fear that Josh Gordon just doesn’t get it. This latest transgression could be the end. His play down the stretch (before the team suspended him for Week 17) doesn’t help his cause one bit. Don’t send out letters of explanations and excuses. Just get your life in order. Hey, Justin Blackmon. If you need an example of what not to do moving forward, Gordon is providing the perfect blueprint. It should be interesting to see if Marc Trestman running the offense in Baltimore boosts Joe Flacco’s fantasy value. My early thoughts are that it will significantly increase Flacco’s production. The microfracture surgery that Vontaze Burfict underwent has me worried about his future. Cincinnati may reduce his role to limit the wear and tear factor, capping his Individual Defensive Player (IDP) value. If it plays out that DeMarco Murray walks via free agency, I’m all in on whoever takes over the lead back role for Dallas. I would love to see Dallas select former Wisconsin running back Melvin Gordon in the first round as ESPN’s Todd McShay had things shake out in his 2.0 mock. Yes, I own Gordon in a league where we draft college players. Don’t forget about Michael Floyd in Arizona. The quarterback situation for Arizona last season rendered most of their receiving game useless. I look for him to bounce back in 2015. I look for Jace Amaro, Austin Seferian-Jenkins and Eric Ebron to make big jumps in their sophomore seasons. These kids are too talented to not have a fantasy impact moving forward. Although I must admit, I’d feel even better about a couple of them if we knew who their quarterbacks were going to be. He...

Wally's World - Postseason Ramblings fantasysharks.com Mon 1/12/15 9:06 AM

Hey, you didn't expect Wally's World to be closed for long, did you? This is the first installment of 2015 and hopefully therewill be many more. We've seen some excellent playoff games to date and are nowdown to four teams. My picks for the conference championships will close outthis article. It's hard not to invoke the word ‘Karma' when looking at theCowboys loss to Green Bay. That being said, I hate to see officiating be such a hugefactor in back-to-back weekends of NFL playoff football. OK...here are some things that I've been thinking about whiletooling around in the Family Truckster for the last few weeks. In no particular order... Still leaning towards putting Odell Beckham, Jr. at the top of my redraft WR rankings. He'salready ascended to the position in my latest dynasty ranks. Also, still have a fantasy ‘man crush' on Brandin Cooks heading into 2015. Thekid is lightning fast and could end up as the top targeted receiver for Drew Brees. It's going to be real interesting to see what the Patriotsbackfield looks like heading into week one. Shane Vereen, and StevanRidley are free agents (Brandon Bolden was recently re-upped for two years). I could see both being allowed to walk. It's the way of "The Hoodie." Makes Jonas Gray and James White very interesting namesto keep in mind heading into fantasy drafts. I am keeping ChristineMichael's name close by on draft day as well. His time is coming and I'drather be early to the party than late. Here's hoping that MelvinGordon breaks the two-year drought of running backs being selected in thefirst round of the NFL Draft. Yes, I selected Gordon last September in a league where wedo a yearly college draft and dream of Baltimore or Arizona drafting the kid. I'm not pulling the trigger very earlyon DeMarco Murray next season.Coming off his excellent 2014 campaign, I'm worried about all of those touches(and wear and tear) for a player that put in his first 16 game season. While we still don't know who will be leading the Bears nextseason, Matt Forte is also acandidate to begin slowing down after amassing a ton of touches the last coupleof years. Oh yeah, he's also going to be leaving his twenties behind nextseason. At this point, I'm not convinced that the Philadelphia Eagles starting QB for2015 is on their roster. Whoever ends up under center will have immediatefantasy relevance in that offense. Does Philadelphia try to move up and get Marcus Mariota on draft day or down toget Brett Hundley?...
