A source tells ProFootballTalk that the Seahawks will not revisit discussions with free agent Jermichael Finley. The topic came up because Seahawks TE Anthony McCoy tore his Achilles' tendon on Tuesday and the team had Finley in for a visit earlier this season. But it's unlikely they'd meet the ex-Packers' contract demands, especially with the Marshawn Lynch situation hanging over their heads. The Seahawks will be fine with Zach Miller and Luke Willson at tight end.

Free agent Jermichael Finley is visiting the Packers' team doctor on Wednesday afternoon to "view MRIs and talk." According to ESPN Wisconsin's Jason Wilde, there remains "nothing imminent" between Finley and his former team, however. It will be a major blow to Finley's chances of suiting up in 2014 if he doesn't get some good news on Wednesday.

Free agent Jermichael Finley will undergo another round of tests Wednesday, and will send the results to all 32 teams. Finley hopes to have a job when most training camps open next week, and points to the Packers as his most likely landing spot, though the Steelers have made an offer. "It's all a waiting game," Finley said. "Pittsburgh have showed me a couple deals, but we all know the money ain't what it's supposed to be. If I quit the game right now, I can take tax-free money, and that's a difficult thing that I'm going through with myself." If Finley were to never play another down in the NFL, he can collect $10 million. He plans to bypass that and continue his career.

Free agent Jermichael Finley (neck) says he still "very much wants to return to the Packers." "This is the best I've felt in this entire crazy process," Finley said. "I'm working as hard as I can to get back to Packer Nation." Finley continues to work out in hopes of gaining medical clearance. Recent reports suggest the Packers haven't closed the door on a reunion. Our best guess is they want to see what they have at tight end in training camp before taking a flier on an injury risk like Finley.

The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports the Packers "have not shut the door"on re-signing free agent Jermichael Finley. Finley met with Green Bay last month, but didn't undergo any medical testing. The Packers are in "wait-and-see mode" and haven't ruled out bringing him back. Finley was cleared by an independent doctor, but has yet to get clearance from any teams. The Packers added depth to move on from Finley, re-signing Andrew Quarless, and adding UDFA Colt Lyerla and third-round TE Richard Rodgers. Finley can collect $10 million in insurance money if he decides not to play again.

Free agent Jermichael Finley's player rep believes he could collect $10 million in insurance money if he decides not to play again. That's despite the fact that Finley has already received clearance from at least one doctor. It means Finley has to decide if it's worth risking future injury for what will almost certainly be 80-90 percent less than $10 million in 2014. Most indications are that Finley plans to continue playing as long as he can get a team to clear him.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports the Steelers and Raiders are showing interest in free agent Jermichael Finley. Finley's market appears to be heating up some, even after the Seahawks reportedly dropped out of the running for the tight end. Finley visited the Patriots last Friday, though it's been reported they just want to review his medicals. The Steelers' team doctor performed Finley's neck surgery and recently cleared him for football activities. Finley would give Ben Roethlisberger a big target to throw to in the red zone, in addition to Heath Miller. In Oakland, the Raiders are simply searching for someone to man the tight end position. Former Packer James Jones could help recruit Finley to the Black Hole.

ESPN's Ed Werder reports the Patriots brought in free agent Jermichael Finley exclusively for medical evaluation. This obviously doesn't mean the Patriots won't send an offer Finley's way, but they want an opportunity to review his medicals before making a decision. Teams aren't lining up to sign the tight end at the moment. The Patriots could use an upgrade at "move" tight end, where D.J. Williams currently sits atop the depth chart.

Free agent TE Jermichael Finley visited the Patriots. New England was Finley's "mystery" visit on Friday. Recovering from neck surgery, Finley has received clearance from at least one doctor, but could still fail many teams' physicals. If cleared, he'd be a worthy flier for a Patriots team that got caught short at tight end last season.

Profootballtalk.com reports the Seahawks have dropped out of the running to sign free agent Jermichael Finley. There are no details on why Seattle dropped out, but to this point they were his lone known visit of free agency. Per PFT, "other interested teams are believed to be the Packers and Giants," and Finley met with an unknown club on Friday. We suspect Finley will end up with the G-Men, Pack, or Patriots, assuming his neck checks out. Finley's agent recently claimed he is medically cleared.
