Wilson had 27 carries for 105 yards and four touchdowns, adding three receptions for 34 yards and another score in 10 games this season.
EDGE Analysis
Wilson began the year on the 49ers' practice squad for the second season in a row, and he was quickly promoted to the main roster in Week 2 after Tevin Coleman suffered a multi-week injury. The 24-year-old was effective early on as a goal-line back, scoring all four of his touchdowns in the first two games following his promotion. Wilson saw his role reduced significantly as the backfield returned to full strength, and he should find himself in a similar situation to begin the 2020 season with all three of the backs ahead of him on the depth chart under contract.

Wilson (coach's decision) is inactive for Saturday's matchup with the Vikings.
EDGE Analysis
Wilson has been receiving healthy scratches since Week 14. It is no surprise he has again, as Raheem Mostert, Tevin Coleman and Matt Breida are all healthy and available in the backfield.

Wilson suited up for 10 games and finished with 27 carries for 105 yards and four touchdowns, adding three receptions for 34 yards and another score during the regular season.
EDGE Analysis
Wilson was signed off the practice squad for the second year in a row to fill in for injured backs, this time serving as a goal-line option early on. Improved backfield depth in 2019 led to less touches for the 23-year-old (78 to 30) despite appearing in four more contests. Wilson showed enough when he was called upon to be a solid backup in the NFL, so it wouldn't be surprising to see San Francisco offer him a minimum contract to keep the extended-rights free agent around for training camp in 2020.

Wilson (coach's decision) is inactive for Saturday's game against the Rams.
EDGE Analysis
Wilson was active for Week 15 but didn't end up playing any offensive snaps. Raheem Mostert, Matt Breida and Tevin Coleman are all good to handle the backfield work for the 49ers on Saturday.

Wilson (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Saints, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Matt Breida (ankle) returning from a two-game absence, the 49ers are back to full strength in the backfield, which leaves no room on the 46-man gameday roster for Wilson as a fourth-string option at the position. Wilson made waves earlier this season with two-touchdown performances in both Week 2 and 3, but he's since found paydirt in only one of the seven games he's been active for while amassing only 87 total yards.

Wilson (illness) returned to Sunday's 37-8 win over Green Bay in the third quarter.
EDGE Analysis
Wilson was deemed questionable to return after he exited the game due to an illness in the first half. He came back in the third quarter and took a carry for two yards, but he didn't see any work thereafter, with Tevin Coleman and Raheem Mostert holding down the fort in the backfield. Wilson finished the night with two carries for 27 yards and one target that he didn't catch.

Wilson (illness) is questionable to return to Sunday's game against Green Bay, MJ Acosta of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Wilson showed no signs of anything bothering him when he rushed for 25 yards on his lone touch of the game thus far, but he's apparently battling an illness that's serious enough to put his status for the remainder of the contest into question.

Wilson caught his lone target for a 25-yard touchdown in Sunday's 36-26 win over the Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
Wilson was limited to special teams duties for nearly the entire contest until he briefly saw the field for a screen pass that he took for 25 yards to seal the win for San Francisco. The 24-year-old was able to shed his healthy scratch status due to Matt Breida's ankle injury. If the latter is unable to heal up before next Sunday's contest against the Packers, then Wilson will suit up as depth and once again have the opportunity to vulture touchdowns away from the workhorses in the 49ers' running back stable -- he has five touchdowns on only 27 touches this season.

Wilson (coach's decision) is inactive for Monday's game versus the Seahawks.
EDGE Analysis
Raheem Mostert continues to play through a knee injury, but roster restrictions elsewhere seem to have forced coach Kyle Shanahan's hand. With Wilson sidelined, the 49ers will ride Tevin Coleman and Matt Breida out of the backfield while Mostert mostly is contained to special teams.

Wilson caught a two yard pass during Thursday's 28-25 win over Arizona.
EDGE Analysis
Wilson's target was just his second of the season after 15 targets in six games in 2018. Wilson has had some big games in his first two seasons in the league, including back-to-back two-score games in Weeks 2 and 3 when San Francisco's backfield was banged up. The sophomore back obviously has the talent to produce when given the opportunity, but -- at the moment -- there are too many other weapons in the backfield to give Wilson those opportunities. Next up is a Seattle defense tied for sixth worst in the league, surrendering 4.7 yards per opponent carry.
