McCourty (ankle) was a full participant during Friday's practice and no longer carries an injury designation into Sunday's contest versus the Lions.

EDGE Analysis

McCourty is set to return to the field after a two-game absence, where his presence will be much needed against Matthew Stafford and Detroit's passing attack. The 30-year-old has three interceptions and two forced fumbles on the season.

McCourty (ankle) was limited in Wednesday's practice.

EDGE Analysis

McCourty has sat out the last two games after injuring his ankle in mid-October, but had extra time to heal during last week's bye. It still remains to be seen if he'll be ready to play against the Lions on Sunday, though if he's inactive again, the Browns could be without two of their top three corners, as Briean Boddy-Calhoun (hamstring) was limited in practice as well.

McCourty (ankle) is listed as inactive Sunday against the Vikings in London, Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com reports.

EDGE Analysis

For the second game in a row, McCourty will be sidelined due to an ankle injury. In his stead, expect the Browns to trot out Jamar Taylor and Briean Boddy-Calhoun as the starting cornerbacks.

McCourty (ankle) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Vikings.

EDGE Analysis

McCourty will likely miss his second consecutive game Sunday, and his work in coverage will be truly missed. The eighth-year corner has racked up 24 tackles (19 solo), nine pass breakups, two forced fumbles and three interceptions, running one back for a touchdown. The 30-year-old continues to be a bright spot on Cleveland's roster, so his return couldn't come sooner.

McCourty (ankle) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Titans.

EDGE Analysis

After suffering the ankle injury in Thursday's practice, McCourty's status for the weekend was in jeopardy, and the Browns ultimately decided to hold out their top cornerback upon evaluating him in pregame warmups. With McCourty in street clothes for the matchup with his former team, it's expected that Briean Broddy-Calhoun will start at cornerback opposite Jamar Taylor, with Mike Jordan serving as the team's No. 3 option at the position. The 30-year-old McCourty leads the Browns with three interceptions and is tied for tops on the team with two forced fumbles.

McCourty (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Titans, Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com reports.

EDGE Analysis

McCourty tweaked his ankle Thursday which led to his addition to the injury report. However, he has barely missed a snap this season, being summoned for 99.7 percent of defensive snaps so far. If he isn't able to play, expect Mike Jordan to fill in for the time being.

McCourty was a limited participant in Thursday's practice due to an ankle injury, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.

EDGE Analysis

The Browns left McCourty off their injury report Wednesday, but he may have tweaked the ankle in that day's practice session and stayed on the field. The fact that McCourty wasn't excluded from Thursday's practice entirely suggests it's not a major concern, and the expectation remains that he'll play Sunday against the Titans, the team that drafted him back in 2009.

McCourty intercepted his third pass of the season and returned it for a touchdown during Sunday's 33-17 loss to the Texans. He also accumulated one tackle.

EDGE Analysis

McCourty is Pro Football Focus' highest graded cornerback with a 92.0 grade, as he has been lights out as a member of the Browns. He ranks second in the NFL in both interceptions (3) and passes defensed (9), and if he continues to be a ball hawk, he's worth an add in IDP leagues.

McCourty registered an interception and a forced fumble during Sunday's 17-14 loss to the Jets. He also added five tackles (four solo).

EDGE Analysis

McCourty has been a turnover machine to start the season with two interceptions and two forced fumbles through the first five weeks. The former Titan signed a two-year contract with the Browns in the offseason and has been a very nice addition to Cleveland's secondary.

McCourty (shoulder/chest) officially signed a two-year contract with the Browns on Tuesday, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.

EDGE Analysis

It was reported earlier Tuesday that the two sides were nearing an agreement, but it's now become official and McCourty is set to join the Browns. He'll immediately join the team as a playmaker at corner and could start opposite Joe Haden right out of the gates. According to Tony Grossi of ESPN.com, the Browns could give him some work at free safety as well, so don't be surprised if the team experiments with him at a few different positions during training camp.
