The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports the Rams remain interested in free agent DL Jason Jones despite their Saturday signing of DL Kendall Langford.

It's quite likely the Rams "remain interested" in Jones, but highly unlikely they have the money to meet his asking price after guaranteeing Langford $12 million. The Seahawks are now the favorites for the former Titan.

The Nashville Tennessean reports the Titans are "still in the mix" for free agent DL Jason Jones.

Jones left St. Louis without a contract on Wednesday, and is visiting the Seahawks on Thursday. Capable of playing both tackle and end, Jones played tackle for the Titans last season, but is believed to be seeking an opportunity to return to end. With Mario Williams off the market, Jones is the top remaining free agent lineman.

Free agent DL Jason Jones has left St. Louis without signing a contract, and will visit the Seahawks.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch hinted a deal was imminent on Tuesday evening, but the sides couldn't seal things up. Aside from Mario Williams, Jones is arguably the top defensive lineman left on the market.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports the Rams could sign free agent DL Jason Jones by as early as Tuesday evening.

One of the market's more underrated players, Jones would be reuniting with former coach Jeff Fisher while following teammate Cortland Finnegan north to St. Louis. Jones has expressed a desire to return to defensive end after playing tackle in 2011.

Free agent DL Jason Jones will reportedly visit with the Rams and Seahawks.

Jones may not get out of St. Louis with former coach Jeff Fisher running the show. One of the most versatile young pass rushers on the market, Jones will likely land a richer contract than expected.

The Nashville Tennessean reports the Titans have made little progress in talks with impending free agent DL Jason Jones.

Barring an unforeseen breakthrough, he will hit the open market. Jones saw his numbers drop as he switched from left end to tackle in 2011, and can be expected to shop his wares as an end. Still only 25 with a solid pedigree as a pass rusher, Jones figures to draw significant interest.

DL Jason Jones is getting "considerable attention" as a potential free agent, according to the National Football Post's Dan Pompei.

Considering his age (25) and demonstrated pass-rushing ability, Jones is expected to be one of the players garnering interest "in the first wave" of free agency. In addition to the Rams, Jones is expected to be pursued by the Eagles, where former Titans position coach Jim Washburn runs the defensive line.

According to NFL Network's Jason LaCanfora the Titans have "mulled" the franchise tag for free agent DL Jason Jones.

LaCanfora concedes he should have said "possibly" rather than "likely" when discussing the viability of the franchise tag for CB Cortland Finnegan. This is the first we've heard of the tag for Jones. Expect both free agents to hit the open market instead.

The Titans and free agent DL Jason Jones remain "far apart" in contract talks.

Beat writer Jim Wyatt expects Jones to hit the open market, at which point Jeff Fisher's Rams could swoop in for the steal. Jones was one of the brightest young interior pass rushers in the NFL two years ago before the Titans moved him outside.

The Titans met with the reps for free agent DL Jason Jones at the NFL Combine, but Titan Insider's Terry McCormick considers Jones "likely" to hit the open market.

The sides apparently did not make progress toward an extension. The Titans want Jones to play defensive end, primarily, but he wants to be an interior pass rusher. The 26-year-old won't struggle for suitors on the open market.
