Hasty signed a one-year contract extension with the 49ers on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Hasty appeared in 11 games for the 49ers last year and rushed 16 times for 68 yards and a touchdown while securing 23 of 29 targets for 157 yards. He'll compete for touches as a reserve once again heading into the 2022 campaign.

Hasty had one carry for four yards and caught two of three targets for 21 yards in Sunday's 27-24 overtime win over the Rams.
EDGE Analysis
Hasty served his usual third-down role with Elijah Mitchell (21-85-0) running at full strength. The 24-year-old stuck in his return/utility role on offense for the entirety of the 2021 campaign, finishing with 225 yards and a touchdown on 39 combined offensive touches across 11 active games. He will continue to spell Mitchell in the playoffs, but he won't be fantasy-relevant unless something catastrophic happens to the 49ers' backfield. Hasty should stick in San Francisco in 2022 given his familiarity with the offense and the low cost to keep him as an exclusive-rights free agent.

Hasty caught his lone target for six yards and did not receive a carry in Sunday's 23-7 win over the Texans.
EDGE Analysis
Elijah Mitchell (knee) returned from a three-game absence and reclaimed the primary tailback role in San Francisco. Hasty was the only other true running back to record a touch, despite playing five less offensive snaps than fellow backup Jeff Wilson. Assuming Mitchell is a full go for Week 18, Hasty will be limited to a small receiving back role against the Rams next Sunday.

Hasty had one carry for three yards while collecting all three targets for 26 yards in Thursday's 20-17 loss to the Titans.
EDGE Analysis
Hasty redeemed himself in a third-down role Thursday after turning in his worst performance of the season last week. Elijah Mitchell (knee/concussion) remained sidelined for the third straight game, so Jeff Wilson and wideout Deebo Samuel combined to handle the rushing duties. Hasty may find himself phased out of the offense if Mitchell is able to return for the 49ers' next contest -- which won't take place until a week from Sunday -- as Wilson is a superior rusher and can also handle receiving duties out of the backfield.

Hasty rushed once for 13 yards and caught his lone target for three yards while losing a fumble in Sunday's 31-13 win over Atlanta.
EDGE Analysis
Jeff Wilson (21-110-1) handled the bulk of the backfield rushing duties with Elijah Mitchell (knee/concussion) still sidelined, leaving Hasty in a reserve/special teams role. The 25-year-old struggled in his limited role, fumbling away the 49ers' first kickoff return. Mitchell's status for Week 16 is still in question with such a short turnaround before Thursday's matchup against the Titans, but head coach Kyle Shanahan is clearly comfortable rolling with a healthy Wilson and Deebo Samuel heading the rushing attack if Mitchell is unable to go.

Hasty caught all three of his targets for 10 yards in Sunday's 26-23 win over the Bengals.
EDGE Analysis
Elijah Mitchell (concussion/knee) was held out of action, so Jeff Wilson (13-56-0) and Deebo Samuel (8-37-1) took over rushing duties while Hasty handled the receiving work out of the backfield as expected. Wilson's return from injured reserve back in Week 10 has pigeonholed Hasty into a primarily receiving backup role in games where Mitchell is sidelined. The 24-year-old shouldn't make much noise in fantasy circles heading into Week 15's matchup with the Falcons.

Hasty and Jeff Wilson will serve as the 49ers' main running backs Sunday in Cincinnati with Elijah Mitchell (concussion) ruled out, Matt Barrows of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Like Wilson, Hasty has dealt with his own injury concerns this season, playing in just six of 12 possible contests. Overall, he's averaged 3.7 yards on his 13 carries, hauled in 13 of 18 targets for 91 yards and scored a rushing TD. As for Wilson, he has 31 rushes and two receptions in four appearances. Considering the respective touch counts, Hasty may be used more on passing downs while Wilson handles early down and short-yardage work this weekend.

Hasty (ankle) logged just one offensive snap and did not receive a touch in Sunday's 30-23 loss to the Seahawks.
EDGE Analysis
Hasty returned from a three-game absence due to an ankle injury. The 25-year-old exited the contest as the lone healthy back after Elijah Mitchell (concussion), Jeff Wilson (knee) and Trenton Cannon (concussion) all suffered injuries. Mitchell will enter the league's concussion protocol while Wilson's situation will receive more clarity during practice this week. Hasty will see a bump in usage should either of the aforementioned backs miss Sunday's tilt against the Bengals. If both Mitchell and Wilson miss the contest, Hasty would become the 49ers' top back and gain a huge boost in Week 14 value, making him a decent speculative waiver add.

Hasty (ankle) is cleared to return for Sunday's game in Seattle, with no designation on the 49ers' final Week 13 injury report, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hasty has now missed six games with ankle injuries (Weeks 3-6, 10-12) and worked as San Francisco's passing-down specialist in the five others. The role has mostly gone to Kyle Jusczyk when Hasty's been out, though Jeff Wilson is also capable. In any case, Hasty is averaging only 2.6 carries and 2.6 catches for 27.8 yards per game, with his usage topped by that of early down back Elijah Mitchell (17.9 carries, 1.8 catches per game).

Hasty (ankle) practiced in a limited capacity Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
With back-to-back capped sessions behind him, Hasty may be setting himself up for his first game action since Week 9. If he indeed makes it all the way back -- either by getting rid of his designation Friday and being deemed active Sunday at Seattle -- he'd still take a back seat to Elijah Mitchell this weekend. Hasty's primary competition for reps would be Jeff Wilson with Trey Sermon (ankle) slated to miss time.
