Jake Locker will have an MRI on his non-throwing shoulder Monday.
It's the same shoulder that Locker slightly separated in Week 1. Coach Mike Munchak said the Titans will evaluate their quarterback and decide if he needs to be shut down for a bit. CBS' Jason La Canfora says "it looks like it could be several weeks." Matt Hasselbeck will get set for an extended stint under center.

Jake Locker left Sunday's Week 4 game against the Texans in the first quarter with a left shoulder injury.
Texans S Glover Quin blitzed off the edge and was unblocked on Locker's blind side. Locker was left squirming in pain on the field and was quickly escorted to the locker room for testing. He couldn't move his left arm -- the same side he slightly separated his shoulder in during Week 1 this season. It may have popped out again. Matt Hasselbeck has come on in relief.

Jake Locker completed 29-of-42 passes for 378 yards and two touchdowns in the Titans' Week 3, 44-41 overtime win over the Lions.
Locker started off hot, completing his first seven passes, but then fell off a bit through the middle of the game, as the offense stalled. He heated back up quick, though, and showed the arm and mobility that made him a first-round pick. Locker's two scores came via a 61-yard pass to Jared Cook and a spectacular 71-yard catch-and-run by Nate Washington. Locker completed 69 percent of his passes on Sunday after completing just 61 percent in his first two games. He has a very unfavorable matchup in Week 4 against the Texans, though.

Coach Mike Munchak said Monday that the Titans have no plans to bench Jake Locker.
It's an admirable show of faith from Munchak in his second-year quarterback, but it's obviously troubling he's been forced to give a vote of confidence after only two games. Locker has been highly erratic through his first two NFL starts, converting 38-of-62 passes for 403 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. He's struggled with his decision-making, and displayed scattershot accuracy despite an acceptable 61.3 completion percentage. The Titans are unlikely to have a quick plug with a player they desperately want to succeed, but Locker would do well to have a strong game against the Lions.

Jake Locker (shoulder) practiced again on Friday and will start Sunday's game at San Diego.
Coach Mike Munchak never wavered on Locker's availability for Week 2 and said Friday that his quarterback finished the practice week on "a high note," taking the usual full complement of reps. We like Locker as a high-upside QB2 against a banged-up Chargers pass defense. Locker was mostly sharp in the opener, going 23-of-32 for 229 yards, one touchdown, and one interception.

Jake Locker (shoulder) participated in his second straight practice Thursday, and remains on track to start against the Chargers.
Per beat writer Terry McCormick, Locker was "not sore" from Wednesday, and "picked up his work load." Locker said he'd play vs. the Bolts barring a "huge setback," and a huge setback does not appear to be in the cards. Locker is Rotoworld's No. 18 quarterback for Week 2.

Jake Locker will wear a brace this week to protect his separated non-throwing shoulder.
Locker's Monday MRI revealed no structural damage. He'll simply have to play through some soreness on his left side. "If we still feel he can be productive, run around and do the things he needs to do to play the position, then we're going to be fine with him playing," coach Mike Munchak said. Locker may split practice reps with Matt Hasselbeck on Wednesday, but he's on track to start against the Chargers.

Titans coach Mike Munchak confirmed Monday that Jake Locker (shoulder) is expected to start in Week 2 at San Diego.
Munchak said the same after Sunday's loss to New England. The Titans' early-week confidence that Locker will be able to play through a dislocated or subluxed left (non-throwing) shoulder suggests he may not even miss any practice time. Locker finished Sunday's opener 23-of-32 for 229 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. He scrambled twice for 11 yards. Locker has big-time arm talent and athleticism, and will continue to offer low-end QB1 fantasy upside against the Chargers. He's a must-start in two-quarterback leagues.

Jake Locker suffered an apparent left shoulder or pectoral injury trying to make a tackle in the third quarter of Sunday's opener.
Locker made a bullet throw to Nate Washington down the middle. Washington fumbled, the Patriots recovered, and Locker got hurt trying to make a tackle down the right sideline. Washington was shaken up but walked off under his own power. Locker was down for a minute or two and immediately clutched his left shoulder. Matt Hasselbeck has come on to replace Locker. After replay, the throw to Washington was eventually ruled an incompletion.
