Titans coach Mike Munchak hedged on Jake Locker's (shoulder) status following Sunday's loss. "I don't know yet," was Munchak's response when asked if Locker will be ready for Week 9. "We'll have to see. He'll get re-examined again this week." Munchak has been adamant Locker will reclaim Tennessee's starting job when healthy, but the Titans aren't accelerating his timetable even though he's been practicing for two weeks. The Nashville Tennessean believes the Titans may stick with Matt Hasselbeck as long as he's playing well. Tennessee has gone 2-2 in Hasselbeck's four starts.

Jake Locker (shoulder) has been officially ruled out for Week 8. As expected, the Titans will again turn to Matt Hasselbeck against the Colts' suspect pass defense. Coach Mike Munchak did say that Locker threw the ball "really well" on Wednesday. It sounds like a Week 9 return is within the realm of possibility.

The Nashville Tennessean suggests Jake Locker (shoulder) will "(continue) to get more time to heal" as long as Matt Hasselbeck is playing well. Titans coach Mike Munchak has been insistent Locker remains the starter when healthy, but his timeline has indeed begun to stretch as Hasselbeck has pulled out wins in two of three starts in Locker's absence. Owners in two-QB leagues waiting on Locker's return may need a Hasselbeck clunker before the Titans turn back to their 2011 first-round pick. It's well within Hasselbeck's ability to have a disaster game, so Locker could find himself back under center any week.

Jake Locker (shoulder) says he's feeling "a lot better," but is unsure of his status for Week 8. Locker returned to limited practice last week, and will undergo a checkup on Monday. Coach Mike Munchak has insisted Locker will reclaim his starting job when ready, but the fact that Locker is publicly waffling on his status suggests the Titans are ready to go with Matt Hasselbeck for one more week. The situation will be updated no later than Wednesday.

Titans coach Mike Munchak insists Matt Hasselbeck's 2-1 record during Jake Locker's (shoulder) absence hasn't affected Locker's status as the team's starter. "No matter what happened (Sunday)," Munchak said. "Nothing was going to change on Jake's situation." That, of course, suggests Locker has a good shot at reclaiming his starting job this week after returning to practice last Wednesday. However, the Tennessee press corps believes Hasselbeck could be in for at least one more start. If you've been counting on Locker's return in a two-quarterback league, patience will remain a virtue.

Beat writer Jim Wyatt expects Matt Hasselbeck to start in Week 8 against the Colts. Jake Locker (shoulder) practiced on a limited basis last week and will be reevaluated in the upcoming week. However, Hasselbeck has led the team to two straight wins and the Titans are averaging 30.5 points per game in those victories. Wyatt notes that the coaches now have to worry about stalling offensive momentum as well as Locker's shoulder popping back out of place.

Jake Locker (shoulder) got in another limited practice on Thursday. Locker has already been ruled out for Sunday, but the fact he's practiced on back-to-back days puts him in good shape for Week 8. Even if the Titans win in spite of Matt Hasselbeck for the second straight week, we fully expect Locker to reclaim his starting job in Week 8.

Titans coach Mike Munchak reiterated Wednesday that Jake Locker (shoulder) remains the starter, and could return as early as Week 8. Locker has already been ruled out for Week 7, but Munchak insists he'll start if he's ready to return in Week 8. "If (Locker) is ready to play next week, there wouldn't be any doubt that he'd be the guy playing." The Titans are 1-1 in Locker's absence, but Matt Hasselbeck has thrown for only 490 yards while posting a 2:2 TD:INT ratio. We expect Munchak to stick to his word.

Jake Locker (shoulder) was limited in Wednesdays practice, but is not expected to play in Week 7. Locker's did some individual throwing drills in practice, but coach Mike Munchak said he's more likely to return in Week 8 against the Colts. The Titans will rely on Matt Hasselbeck at QB for at least one more week.

Jake Locker's shoulder injury will sideline him for Week 7 against the Bills. The Titans are hopeful he'll return in Week 8 against the Colts. Locker has dislocated the left (non-throwing) shoulder twice, and Tennessee feels good about Matt Hasselbeck coming off a Week 6 upset of the Steelers. Locker should continue to be rostered in two-quarterback leagues. He's deep bench fodder in more standard, 12- to 14-team one-quarterback settings.
