Doyle caught seven of 11 targets for 50 yards and a touchdown, but also lost a fumble in Monday night's 36-22 loss to the Titans.

EDGE Analysis

Doyle overcame a concussion to be cleared to return for Monday's contest. Not only did he lead the Colts in receptions and targets, but Doyle scored the team's lone offensive touchdown with an eight-yard catch to start the second quarter. That being said, a fumble added a sour note to his night, as he's now coughed the ball up in two of his last three appearances.

Doyle (concussion/neck) practiced fully Friday.

EDGE Analysis

Doyle is thus on track to return to action Monday against the Titans, in the absence any any setbacks in advance of that contest. Doyle's numbers through four games -- 17 catches (on 23 targets) for 163 yards -- aren't anything special, but his fantasy upside could brighten soon enough, with the return of franchise QB Andrew Luck looming in the coming weeks.

Though Doyle still needs to gain clearance from an independent physician to move past the concussion protocol, Stephen Holder of The Indianapolis Star relays that the tight end "will be full-go in practice in meantime."

EDGE Analysis

With that in mind, Doyle is trending toward a return to action Monday against the Titans, in the absence of any setbacks. With 17 catches (on 23 targets) for 163 yards through four games, Doyle hasn't put up eye-popping numbers to date, but his fantasy outlook could brighten down the road, with the return of franchise QB Andrew Luck inching closer.

Coach Chuck Pagano relayed Friday that Doyle (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the 49ers, Zak Keefer of The Indianapolis Star reports.

EDGE Analysis

Per Stephen Holder of The Indianapolis Star, Doyle was thought to be fine Wednesday but by Thursday the tight end's neck was stiff and the team will elect to "err on the side of caution" with the tight end this week, according to Pagano. With Doyle out, the Colts' options at the position Sunday are Brandon Williams, Darrell Daniels and Henry Krieger-Coble, neither of whom represent a high-percentage fantasy dart in Week 5.

Doyle (concussion) was not on the field for Friday's practice, according to Kevin Bowen of 1070 The Fan Indianapolis.

EDGE Analysis

Doyle was able to practice on a limited basis Wednesday and Thursday, but it looks like he may not get in any work Friday. The Colts will provide an update on both Doyle's practice participation and his Week 5 status following Friday's practice, but it's looking like he could miss his first game due to injury since joining the NFL in 2013.

Doyle (concussion) wore a red no-contact jersey at Wednesday's practice, Kevin Bowen of 1070 The Fan Indianapolis reports.

EDGE Analysis

The fact Doyle was on the practice field at all suggests he's already cleared a few hurdles in the concussion protocol since suffering the injury in Sunday's 46-18 loss to the Seahawks. That's excellent news for the Colts, considering the other tight ends on their roster (Brandon Williams and Darrell Daniels) have just 10 career NFL receptions between them. The team likely would become more dependent on its wideouts if Doyle were to miss Sunday's home game against the 49ers.

Head coach Chuck Pagano said Monday that Doyle has entered the concussion protocol, Mike Chappell of of CBS 4 News Indianapolis reports.

EDGE Analysis

This development was foretold by Doyle's inability to reenter Sunday's game at Seattle. If he's unable to navigate the entire protocol in time for the Colts' Week 5 matchup with the 49ers, Doyle will be replaced by some combination of tight ends Darell Daniels and Brandon Williams at tight end.

Doyle left Sunday's loss to Seattle in the second half after being evaluated for a concussion and did not return, Mike Chappell reports.

EDGE Analysis

There were conflicting reports during the game whether he had passed the concussion test, but he didn't return to the game. He'll likely have to go through the league's concussion protocol this week. Doyle had another key drop in Sunday's game after two drops in Week 3. He had just three drops in 2016.

Doyle (foot) no longer appears on the Colts' Week 4 injury report after practicing fully Friday.

EDGE Analysis

Doyle had been limited earlier in the week, but he'll take aim Sunday night at the Seahawks after returning to a full practice session Friday. Through three games, Doyle -- who was on the field for all 66 of the Colts' snaps on offense in Week 3 -- has caught 12 of his 16 targets for 136 yards, but he's still looking for his first TD.

Doyle (foot) was a limited participant at Wednesday's practice.

EDGE Analysis

Doyle caught just two passes and fumbled one of them in Sunday's 31-28 win over Cleveland, but there was nothing to suggest he was impacted by a significant injury, considering he played every offensive snap. His ability to practice Wednesday, even in a limited capacity, suggests he's on track to play in Sunday's game against the Seahawks.
