Walters was released by the Bears last week, ESPN Chicago reports. The Bears had a couple defections from their safety ranks in free agency, but it appears the new coaching staff never considered Walters a candidate to play meaningful snaps in 2015. He saw primarily special teams duty with the Bears last season, and would likely be slated for a similar role with the next team he joins.
