The Press-Gazette considers James Starks (knee) a "long shot" to be ready for Saturday's Wild Card game against the Vikings. Starks hasn't practiced or played in a month thanks to a Week 13 bone bruise. Still, coach Mike McCarthy isn't ruling him out. "I know James is getting close," McCarthy said. "Hopefully he'll be able to get to the practice field this week, but we'll see where he is."
