The 6-foot-2, 240-pounder brings added size, depth and experience to a New England backfield that has seen both Dion Lewis and LeGarrette Blount land on IR. It remains to be seen how much of a workload the 32-year-old Jackson will see for the Patriots out of the gate, but as the weeks roll on, he figures to absorb a decent share of the team's "big back" duties, previously handled by Blount. Moreover, his addition figures to allow the Patriots to use Brandon Bolden more on special teams, while James White slots in as the team's change-of-pace/pass-catching back and fellow newcomer Joey Iosefa provides RB/FB versatility.
