The 49ers staff is meeting Monday to discuss whether Gabbert or Colin Kaepernick will start Sunday's game in Buffalo, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gabber has been consistently bad since Week 1, with his surprising rushing production negated (and then some) by his complete lack of accuracy. He's completing just 58 percent of his passes for 5.9 yards per attempt this season, with five touchdowns and six interceptions, though it's only fair to note that he doesn't have much help. The only other argument in Gabbert's favor is the distinct possibility Kaepernick could be worse, especially considering that the latter still hasn't quite regained all the weight he lost after having three surgical procedures in the offseason. A decision may be announced soon, but either way, running back Carlos Hyde remains the only trustworthy weapon in a flailing San Francisco offense.
