Sherman will need to undergo Tommy John surgery in the offseason. While Tommy John surgery can sideline a pitcher for over a calender year, coach Pete Carroll indicated that he believes Sherman will be ready for the beginning of the 2015 season. Sherman initially injured his arm in the NFC Championship Game against the Packers, but played through the Super Bowl despite the ailment.
