Robert Griffin III (ACL, LCL surgery) says he's ahead of schedule, and still hoping to be ready by Week 1.
"My knee is getting better every day," Griffin said in a text to ESPN's Trey Wingo. "My goal is to return healthy in Week 1, but if I'm not ready then I will wait until I am, however long that is." The Redskins and their doctors haven't done a good job of keeping expectations realistic for RGIII's return, but there's yet to be a negative report on his progress. That's means little with training camp still four months away, but is better than the alternative.
