Peterson missed practice on Wednesday so his return to the field on Thursday is a reassuring sign, even if it was in a limited fashion. His status for Friday's practice will go a long way in determining his availability this Sunday against the Panthers. Should he be ruled out, expect either Justin Bethel, who is nursing a foot injury, Brandon Williams, or Tharold Simon to grab the spot start.
