Mathews, who landed on the Eagles' Active/Non-football Injury list after hurting his ankle while training last week, was seen walking into the team's facility Wednesday without a noticeable limp, CSN Philadelphia reports.
EDGE Analysis
Though the Eagles have not presented a timetable for Mathews' return, this nugget hints at an injury that isn't too severe. Either way, until Mathews returns to the field, the likes of Darren Sproles, Wendell Smallwood and Kenjon Barner figure to see added running back reps during the Eagles' training camp practices.

He's already injured? Wow, I'm totally shocked.

They are falling like flies and haven't played a down yet.

Teams are taking advantage of Pup and NFI lists to rest starters and make room on 90 man rosters to look at as many people as possible. Nobody wants to push a starter into an agrivated injury early in the preseason.

seems like a good thing lol rest the starters and test out the non-starters :)
