Kellen Winslow (knee) was held out of practice Thursday.
Get used it. The Bucs have often given Winslow a planned day of rest for his surgically repaired knee, and that will remain the case again this year. Rotoworld ranks Winslow No. 8 among fantasy tight ends for this week's game against the Lions.
Dawgpound - I've had Winslow on at least one of my fantasy rosters since his days with the Browns. He's not going to light it up like a Gates of course, but dude is always productive and good for over 100 points a year when he stays healthy. Plus, every now and then he puts up a 15-20 point performance. One word of advice - they hold him out of practice alot because of his knees, but dont let that deter you from starting him.
Yeah they do, and I think his chronic knee problems have sapped some of his after-catch ability, but he's pretty steady. The position is loaded with fantasy sex appeal this year, which makes plain Janes like him seem like non-options, but 800-900 yards and a half-dozen TDs would have been a godsend, six or seven years ago. I am interested to see how Detroit's reloaded front seven do, and how Winslow does against them.
