James cleared waivers Tuesday and is free to sign with any organization, CSN Bay Area reports. James' request for another chance elsewhere has come to fruition, but it remains to be seen which running-back needy team will take a chance on the 24-year-old. In two-plus seasons with the 49ers, he racked up 41 carries for 184 yards (4.5 YPC) and five catches (on eight targets) for 45 yards across 15 outings.

I am sure Chip Kelly would like him, but I am not sure James wants to sign to a place that will again have 2 RBs in front of him. Ravens clearly an option. Also could see him with Colts, Broncos, Falcons.

But if I had to bet on one, I would say Colts.

He'd be a good grab for the Colts or the Ravens. Perhaps even Tennessee.
