Jake Locker suffered an apparent left shoulder or pectoral injury trying to make a tackle in the third quarter of Sunday's opener. Locker made a bullet throw to Nate Washington down the middle. Washington fumbled, the Patriots recovered, and Locker got hurt trying to make a tackle down the right sideline. Washington was shaken up but walked off under his own power. Locker was down for a minute or two and immediately clutched his left shoulder. Matt Hasselbeck has come on to replace Locker. After replay, the throw to Washington was eventually ruled an incompletion.
