ESPN's Bob Holtzman reported on SportsCenter Sunday morning that the Bengals will use RCB Leon Hall to shadow Victor Cruz in Week 10.
The strategy is very out of the ordinary for the Bengals, who are a "sides" team and always leave Hall at right corner, with Terence Newman on the left. Newman will now match up with Hakeem Nicks, improving the fantasy outlook for New York's struggling receiver. As for Cruz, he should still be started with confidence as a WR1. Hall, coming off a 2011 Achilles' tendon tear, hasn't been his impenetrable self this year. Pro Football Focus grades him a relatively mediocre 41st in pass coverage amongst 103 qualifying corners through nine weeks.
