Drew Brees completed 21-of-27 passes for 239 yards and two touchdowns in the Saints' 28-13, Week 9 win over the Eagles on Monday night. It was just another typical night at the office for Brees and the Saints' offense. There isn't much else to say here. Brees and Jimmy Graham picked on a Philadelphia defense that was minus FS Nate Allen and sports linebackers that struggle in pass coverage. The two touchdown passes went to Marques Colston from one yard out and to Graham from six yards out. With the running game clicking too, Brees wasn't forced to air it out on every play. Brees is on pace to complete 418-of-684 passes for 5,098 yards, 44 touchdowns, and 16 interceptions. The 684 pass attempts would be a career-high and the 44 scores would be two short of his career-high of 46 from last season. The 3-5 Saints take on the Falcons at home in Week 10.
