CSN Washington considers Pierre Garcon, LT Trent Williams and DL Barry Cofield candidates to restructure their contracts.
Garcon and Williams are unusual restructure candidates in that they're still young, productive and relatively cheap, but the Redskins are going to have to get creative to get under the 2013 cap. That's thanks to their $18 million penalty for circumventing the league's cap in the uncapped year of 2010. CSN Washington projects the Redskins are currently $4 million over the 2013 cap despite having relatively few odious contracts. Williams' latest off-the-field incident could make him the most likely candidate to restructure.

Still think it was done because of Snyder & Jones- 2 of the most disliked owners in NFL!
