Kamara is scheduled to make his first appearance in court March 8 following his arrest Sunday in Las Vegas on a charge of battery resulting in substantial bodily harm, David Charns of 8 News Now Las Vegas reports.
EDGE Analysis
Following his appearance for the NFC squad in the Pro Bowl on Sunday, Kamara was taken into police custody after his alleged involvement in an incident that occurred at a Las Vegas casino and night club early Saturday morning. Kamara was released from jail after posting bail Sunday, and his initial court appearance scheduled for Monday was later canceled. Kamara and the Saints have yet to make a statement about his arrest, and both the team and NFL may wait for the legal process to play out before determining if the running back faces a fine or suspension.

- The man, who was knocked unconscious, suffered an orbital fracture to his right eye, among other injuries, according to the police report.

-After Kamara pushed the man, one of Kamara's associates punched the man in the face. Then Kamara lunged toward the man and punched him approximately eight times -- including three times after he had fallen to the ground.

-Three others from Kamara's group then began stomping the man in the face, chest and legs. One of Kamara's associates stomped him about 16 times, according to the police report.

Will be interesting to hear eventually the story behind how this event could have happened "early Saturday morning," but Kamara was only taken into custody "following his appearance ... in the Pro Bowl on Sunday." I'm not a conspiracy theorist by any stretch of the imagination, but it does seem rather convenient for him that it took LVPD 30+ hours to ID and find an NFL superstar.

nah nah nah nah ................. nah nah nah nah .................. hey hey ................. goodbye.

Let's see if his punishment is as "convenient" for the NFL. The NFL needs to catch hell for this.

That was my pint in this whole thing. Gee, it was REAL hard to figure out where to find him. Shoulda been waiting for him, cuffs out, at the gate. Also betting the NFL was tipped off to this IMMEDIATELY and the NFL contacted the LVPD before they could "find him".

The NFL deserves to have it's "brand" tarnished just before the super bowl. Speaking of which, maybe the NFL could have fund him a "safe house" until after the super bowl was over, so they didnt lose any TV ratings for that, too.

8 game suspension and fines. It’s the NFL. Big stars get this stuff brushed under the rug in almost every instance. How ya doin keep it movin.

Ray Rice was blacklisted.

Kaep was blacklisted.

I am sure there is others, those two just come to mind as both would have continued their career if they drank a glass of act-right.

Hunt almost got blacklisted. If it was not for the browns, his days were numbered.

Same for AB. Bucs saved his tail.

Adrian Peterson beat the crap out of his son with a switch. Will be in the hall of fame.

Tyreek Hill beat and choked his pregnant girlfriend then later allegedly beat the crap out of his kid. Making millions currently on an NFL team.

Ray Lewis in a bar fight where at least one person he beat on ended up dead. Super Bowl MVP the following year and 1st ballot hall of famer.

For every Ray Rice that gets the hammer there is a Ray Lewis that gets a pass. It’s the NFL.

You make valid points.

AP was also forced out of the game for over a year and got lucky just like Hunt and AB did.

Hill beat the girl in college, not the pro's. His case was dismissed but yeah, he really messed up and is very lucky to get drafted. In the case of his son, I agree that he should have been cut just like Hunt, the team drafted Hardman to take Hill's spot. Unfortunately, the cops could not determine who did what but the kid did take some abuse. I am no fan og Hill.

RL. Did he kill anyone? Cops said he did not. He did obstruct justice though and learned a big lesson about being in the wrong place with the wrong people.

I do think AK will only face a suspension and a fine because no women or children were involved and nobody died but if proven that he clearly beat a man, he will miss half the season without pay with a big fine at a minimum. Is that a pass or should he get blacklisted?
