Berry has been diagnosed with a ruptured Achilles' tendon, Terez A. Paylor of The Kansas City Star reports.
EDGE Analysis
As initially feared, Berry will miss the rest of the season after playing a major role in Thursday's season-opening win over New England. While not quite elite as an IDP, he's one of the most valuable defensive backs in the league from his team's perspective, thanks to his excellent work in coverage and playmaking skills. With Berry out for the season and set to be replaced by Daniel Sorensen, opposing quarterbacks should have a much easier time against the Chiefs, though a stout pass rush will help smooth the transition.
