After viewing Jake Locker's preseason throws, The Sideline View's Adam Caplan likens him to Donovan McNabb in terms of passing mechanics and overall skill set. This was the comparison we made, as well, after viewing Locker's 2011 action off the bench. Caplan has been critical of Locker's accuracy woes, which were evident even as he compiled a 4:0 TD-to-INT ratio in limited rookie duty and have continued into the 2012 preseason. Locker has completed just 50 percent of his August throws. He can compensate some with playmaking ability and big-time vertical throwing ability, but may never be a truly efficient passer.
