Bowe signed a one-day contract to retire as a member of the Chiefs on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Bowe gave Kansas City a quality return on their 2007 first-round investment over the years and will ultimately go down as the team's third-leading receiver all-time behind Tony Gonzalez and Otis Taylor. It probably won't be long until Travis Kelce and possibly Tyreek Hill pass him in that regard, though.

The Browns will release Bowe, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bowe, who signed a two-year deal with the Browns prior to the 2015 season, that included $9 million in guaranteed money, only saw action in seven games this past season, catching five passes for 53 yards. He should catch on elsewhere on a prove-it sort of deal, but the veteran wideout, who turns 32 in September, has much to prove before re-entering the fantasy discussion.

Bowe, who was a healthy scratch in Week 17's loss to Pittsburgh, finished the season with five catches on 13 targets for 53 receiving yards.
EDGE Analysis
Bowe not only produced what was by far the worst statistical season of his NFL career, but made over one million dollars per catch to do so. Time and time again, Bowe was a healthy scratch in favor of younger receivers that were willing to contribute on special teams as well. It's unclear if this is the end of the road for the 31-year-old, who is due to make $9 million next season. Despite the expected cap hit, it wouldn't be hard to imagine Cleveland's new front office personnel simply cutting their losses with this high-profile free agent signing.

Bowe hauled in two passes on three targets for 22 yards in Sunday's loss to the Seahawks.
EDGE Analysis
It was just the second game this season where Bowe recorded a reception, and just the sixth time he has been active. The veteran may see a few more looks with an injury-depleted position group, but it likely wouldn't be wise to start him in the fantasy playoffs.

Bowe (coach's decision) is inactive Sunday against the 49ers.
EDGE Analysis
Per Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, it will be the seventh time this season that Bowe is a healthy scratch. Even with Andrew Hawkins and Taylor Gabriel inactive due to concussions, the Browns just can't seem to find a role for their $9 million man in the passing game. His continued absence suggests that both rookie Darius Jennings and recently re-signed Terrelle Pryor have both moved ahead of him on the depth charts. One would be hard-pressed to find a fantasy format where Bowe is worth owning at this point in the season.

Bowe (coach's decision) is inactive Sunday against the Bengals.
EDGE Analysis
Bowe saw the field for a whopping four snaps Week 12 against Baltimore, but will return to the inactive list for the Week 13 contest. Even with both Taylor Gabriel and Andrew Hawkins on the shelf due to concussions, the Browns didn't have enough of a role for Bowe to warrant putting him on the active roster. Instead, the team will utilize rookie Darius Jennings, who was promoted to the active roster Saturday. This speaks volumes about the team's aspirations for their $9 million man.

Bowe (coach's decision) is inactive Sunday against the Steelers.
EDGE Analysis
Bowe had his best game of the season Week 9, catching three of his five targets for a total of 31 yards. This was likely due to the absence of both Andrew Hawkins and Brian Hartline, who were inactive for that contest due to concussions. With both of the aforementioned options active for Week 10's matchup, Bowe will return to the bottom of the depth chart and likely fantasy obscurity.

Bowe and Marlon Moore will likely have increased roles in Thursday's game against the Bengals, as Andrew Hawkins (concussion) and Brian Hartline (concussion) are both unlikely to play, the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram's Scott Petrak reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bowe will likely be a regular in three-wide formations, but he still figures to be behind Travis Benjamin and Taylor Gabriel in the wideout pecking order. Furthermore, the Browns may have to start Johnny Manziel, as Josh McCown (ribs) appears highly questionable to be ready by Thursday. Even with the likelihood of an increased role, Bowe isn't worth a look in deep leagues.

Bowe is active for Sunday's matchup against the Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
Bowe has been a healthy scratch in three straight contests, but will get an opportunity to play while Andrew Hawkins is sidelined with a concussion. Despite the active status, Bowe will likely serve as the No. 4 receiver, sitting behind Travis Benjamin, Brian Hartline and Taylor Gabriel on the depth chart.

With Andrew Hawkins out this week, Bowe appears on track to be active Sunday against the Cardinals, after having logged three straight healthy scratches, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer relays via coach Mike Pettine that Bowe has gotten better as he puts more distance behind the hamstring issue that slowed him earlier this season. While the veteran wideout remains a very speculative play Sunday, it's plausible that this could finally be the week that Bowe is finally incorporated into the Browns' offense.
