ESPN Boston warns not to cross free agent Dustin Keller off the Patriots' list. Keller remains unsigned, likely because his health is still a question mark following last August's gruesome knee injury. But the Patriots are desperately thin at tight end, and Keller could fill some of the "move" routes Aaron Hernandez used to run. Jermichael Finley (neck) is another option.

ESPN Boston's Mike Reiss believes the Patriots could be waiting until after June 1 to sign free agent TE Dustin Keller. Players signed after June 1 do not count towards the compensatory pick formula. Keller's health is in question after he tore three ligaments and dislocated his knee just last August, but he could fill the "move" tight end void on the Patriots' roster if healthy. The if healthy part is a big if. There is also a question of whether the Patriots even need a "move" option as they transition to more of a three-wide, "11" personnel offense. Either way, Keller will be at most a late-round flier in deep two tight end leagues this season.

ESPN Boston's Mike Reiss believes the Patriots could still be a landing spot for free agent TE Dustin Keller. Keller visited with the Patriots earlier this month, but left without a contract. New England failed to address their need for a move tight end in the draft, so Keller could provide a No. 2 option behind Rob Gronkowski. Michael Hoomanawanui and D.J. Williams are the only other veteran tight ends on the roster.

Free agent TE Dustin Keller left his Wednesday Patriots visit without a contract. A source (Keller's agent?) told the Boston Herald that Keller's "knee is healed." It looks like the Patriots were not convinced. Just eight months removed from tearing three ligaments and dislocating his knee, it's not a surprise. If Keller can eventually prove his health, the Patriots would make for an excellent landing spot as they're desperate for a "move" tight end. The three tight ends currently on their roster are Rob Gronkowski (ACL), Michael Hoomanawanui and D.J. Williams.

A source tells the Boston Herald that free agent TE Dustin Keller's "knee is healed." It would be an amazing feat just eight months after Keller's catastrophic preseason injury, which included tears of his ACL, MCL, and PCL, and dislocation of the knee. Keller visited the Patriots on Wednesday, where he'd be an excellent fit on paper. We still have a hard time believing he's 100 percent.

CSN New England expects the Patriots to show interest in free agent TE Dustin Keller should he remain unsigned after the draft. In all likelihood, Keller won't be finding a job in the next four weeks. His agent recently said Keller will be ready for the season after destroying his knee on a devastating hit from D.J. Swearinger last preseason. Keller turns 30 in September. If he can return to pre-sinjury form, he'd be a nice bargain signing.

The Dolphins haven't ruled out re-signing free agent Dustin Keller. "He's one of those guys we're evaluating and considering like a lot of other free agents out there," coach Joe Philbin said Tuesday. "We'll see." Rehabbing from the catastrophic knee injury that ended his 2013 in the preseason, Keller has yet to make a visit in free agency. Keller turns 30 in September.

USA Today's Tom Pelissero has heard free agent TE Dustin Keller (knee) is "on track to return." Keller was having a huge camp in 2013 with the Dolphins before tearing his ACL, MCL, and PCL, dislocating his right knee in Miami's third preseason game. There's no telling what Keller has left -- the injury was gruesome and he's entering his age-30 season -- but it's good news for him. NFL teams would probably want to see Keller work out before entertaining signing him.
