Chargers claimed DT Drake Nevis off waivers from the Colts. Part of Bill Polian's final draft class in Indianapolis, Nevis was the 87th overall pick in 2011. He's a three-technique gap shooter at 6-foot-1, 294 and will compete for interior pass-rusher snaps in San Diego's 3-4 defense.

There's no word on when starter Fili Moala will be back and the other starter, Ben Foster, looks headed for I.R. after a gruesome ankle injury. Luckily, the Colts get the Chiefs in Week 5, who do not have anybody that can make them truly pay for their lack of depth.
