Bryant caught two passes for 43 yards on nine targets in Sunday's win over the Giants.

EDGE Analysis

The nine targets tied Bryant for a team-high total Sunday night with Jason Witten. Bryant was on the receiving end of three consecutive looks in the end zone from Dak Prescott on a sequence from the three-yard line, but Giants corner Janoris Jenkins was sharp in coverage. Bryant struggled in matchups against Jenkins and the Giants in 2016 as well, as he's now caught just four of 23 targets for 61 yards in his last three meetings against them.

Bryant caught both of his targets for 55 yards and a touchdown against the Colts in Saturday's preseason Week 2 win.

EDGE Analysis

Bryant capped a 95-yard opening drive with a 32-yard touchdown grab after hauling in a 23-yard catch earlier. The biggest concern for Bryant is health, as the oft-injured wideout is a near lock to produce when he's on the field. He could prove especially valuable early in the season with the passing game likely to take on a larger load while star running back Ezekiel Elliott serves his six-game suspension.

Bryant won't play in Saturday's preseason game against the Rams, NFL Network's Alex Flanagan reports.

EDGE Analysis

Along with Bryant, the Cowboys will also rest Dak Prescott, Ezekiel Elliott, Cole Beasley and Jason Witten in what appears to be a precautionary move designed to prevent their proven offensive stalwarts from taking unnecessary risks this early in the preseason. His next to chance to see game action will come Aug. 19 against the Colts.

Bryant won't play in Thursday's Hall of Fame Game versus the Cardinals, Drew Davison of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.

EDGE Analysis

The Cowboys have been given an extra exhibition game this year and will thus hold out most of the starting lineup, including Bryant, Ezekiel Elliott and Dak Prescott. With Bryant on the sideline, quarterbacks Kellen Moore and Luke McCown will be left with the likes of Brice Butler, Noah Brown and Andy Jones, among others, at wideout.

Bryant arrived three hours late to the Cowboys' facility Friday, causing him to miss his mandatory conditioning test, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports. The wideout is also reportedly dealing with a sinus infection, which he's been working with the team's training staff in hopes of overcoming.

EDGE Analysis

Bryant's illness may have prevented him from being able to take his conditioning test Friday anyway, but he still didn't inform the team ahead of time that he'd be late to the proceedings. To his credit, Bryant's tardiness was in part due to him hosting a kickball game and barbecue in his hometown of Lufkin, Texas, on Thursday night. Additionally, Bryant reportedly apologized and took responsibility upon his arrival at the Cowboys facility. At this point, Dallas is believed to consider Bryant being late a non-issue, as they're instead focused on ensuring his symptoms subside before training camp really kicks off.

Bryant was a full participant in the Cowboys' offseason program and stood out at June minicamp, ESPN.com's Todd Archer reports.

EDGE Analysis

Bryant essentially played 12 games last season, missing three contests early in the year due to a fracture in his knee and later logging just 18 snaps and one target in a meaningless Week 17 outing. His explosiveness was still on display with eight touchdowns and an average of 15.9 yards per reception, but he caught only 50 of his 97 targets (51.5 percent) despite playing with a QB who completed 67.8 percent of his passes. Bryant did go out with a boom by catching nine of 12 targets for 132 yards and two touchdowns in a playoff loss to the Packers, seemingly proving he was back to full health by the end of the season. While injuries marred his last two campaigns, Bryant is still only 28 years old and just three seasons removed from a dominant three-year stretch (2012-2014) with at least 88 catches, 1,233 yards and 12 touchdowns each season.

Bryant caught nine of 12 targets for 132 yards and a pair of touchdowns in Sunday's 34-31 loss to the Packers.

EDGE Analysis

After a slow start, Bryant broke out with a 40-yard touchdown grab in the second quarter and scored again on a leaping seven-yard play in the fourth that completed the Cowboys' comeback. Unfortunately the Packers were able to pull out the victory, but Bryant got the postseason monkey off his back, as the two touchdowns were the first of his playoff career, and he led the team in targets, catches and yards as well. He displayed a growing rapport with Dak Prescott throughout the season and could return to the upper echelon of NFL wideouts next year if he can remain healthy.

Bryant failed to catch his only target in a 27-13 loss to the Eagles in Week 17.

EDGE Analysis

He didn't finish the game, as the Cowboys rested all of their key personnel in advance of the postseason, but Bryant did still make an impact as he drew a pass interference penalty inside the five yard line to help set up Dallas' only TD of the day. He had another disappointing statistical campaign due to injuries, catching 50 passes on 97 targets for 796 yards and eight touchdowns in 13 games, but the 28-year-old could be a bargain at the draft table next year if he stays healthy and continues to develop chemistry with Dak Prescott.

Bryant caught four of five targets for 70 yards and two touchdowns in Monday's game against the Lions. He also connected with Jason Witten for a 10-yard touchdown on his only pass attempt of the game.

EDGE Analysis

Bryant helped swing the momentum in his team's favor Monday with a 25-yard touchdown catch that tied just before the half, and he helped break the game open by finding a wide open Witten off of a reverse in the third quarter before grabbing his second score early in the fourth. He became the fifth player in NFL history to catch two touchdown passes and throw for another in the same game, bringing his total to nine in 12 games played this season. Bryant and the rest of the starters will play next week against the Eagles as they look to close out a strong and improbable regular season slate.

Bryant (back) is listed as active Monday versus the Lions, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.

EDGE Analysis

With home-field advantage clinched in the NFC, the Cowboys don't have to expose their key players, Bryant among them, to unnecessary risk. However, with contact nearly non-existent in practice at this point in the season, any reps taken by Bryant and company will keep them in game mode as they approach a bye in the wild-card round of the playoffs. With the Lions' No. 1 cornerback Darius Slay (hamstring) sitting out Monday, Bryant should find openings in a defense that has allowed 10.1 YPC and five touchdowns to wideouts over the last five games.
