1 week agoBrowns Not Certain Dez Bryant Wants To Play rotoballer.com
The Cleveland Browns said free-agent wide receiver Dez Bryant's name hasn't "come up around the building lately," and the team is not sure that he wants to play football, according to a team source. Bryant's name will surely come up again now that the team is trading or releasing receiver Josh Gordon, but Bryant still may not be an option. The aging receiver led the league in drops in 2017, but he'd have opportunity in Cleveland behind Jarvis Landry and rookie Antonio Callaway. Stay tuned.

1 month agoDez Bryant Says He'll Play This Year rotoballer.com
Free-agent wide receiver Dez Bryant says he will play this year, but he might have to wait until later this year. Bryant's market has been weak after he led the NFL in drops last year with the Cowboys. He came close to signing with the Browns before Josh Gordon reported to camp, but he also wasn't getting the value he thought was fair. It's possible a team signs Bryant after injuries hit early in the year, but it's no guarantee.
1 month agoJaguars Comfortable With Receiving Depth rotoballer.com
Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone said the team is "comfortable" with who they have on roster after the season-ending injury to wide receiver Marqise Lee (knee), meaning the team is unlikely to consider free-agent receiver Dez Bryant. With Lee now out for all of 2018, Keelan Cole, Dede Westbrook and Donte Moncrief will likely be the starters. Cole should be your first target, while Westbrook also has plenty of upside. Rookie DJ Chark is worth a late-round flier in deeper leagues.
1 month agoBrowns Unlikely To Sign Dez Bryant rotoballer.com
Updating a previous report, the Cleveland Browns are unlikely to sign free-agent wide receiver Dez Bryant, according to a source. He is no longer on the front burner after Josh Gordon reported to training camp. Bryant left town without a contract on Friday, and the two sides were never close to an agreement. The veteran is looking for a one-year, "prove-it" deal and wants to play for a contender. Bryant wouldn't have been more than a late-round flier in deeper leagues even if he'd signed with th[...]

Free-agent wide receiver Dez Bryant continues to talk with the Cleveland Browns about a contract on Friday. Bryant and his agent, Kim Miale, will continue to talk with general manager John Dorsey after they had dinner Thursday night. A deal is not expected Friday, according to one league source. Dorsey is a fan of Bryant, and it would appear to be a fit with Josh Gordon having not yet reported to training camp and rookie Antonio Callaway a question mark because of his off-field issues. Still, [...]
1 month agoDez Bryant Optimistic He'll Join Browns rotoballer.com
Free-agent wide receiver Dez Bryant sounded optimistic about getting a deal done with the Cleveland Browns after a visit on Thursday, according to a league source. Bryant is hoping to sign a one-year, "prove-it" deal to re-establish himself as a Pro Bowl receiver. Bryant hasn't looked like a Pro Bowl receiver in several years and led the NFL in drops in 2017, so fantasy owners want to see it before they believe it. He'd have some opportunity in Cleveland if he were to sign, with Josh Gordon yet [...]
1 month agoDez Bryant Will Meet With Browns Thursday rotoballer.com
Free-agent wide receiver Dez Bryant is planning to meet with the Cleveland Browns on Thursday. General manager John Dorsey made news last week when he stated before his team's preseason game that Bryant was not returning his calls. Bryant later used social media to indicate that he would be willing to meet with Cleveland and that he was waiting to "be right" before signing on with a team. The Browns could use Bryant on the outside, especially with Josh Gordon's status still up in the air and Cor[...]
