Booker recorded 14 carries for 51 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 25-3 win over the Panthers. He added two receptions for 15 yards.
EDGE Analysis
Booker got another chance to serve as the team's lead back with Saquon Barkley (ankle) still sidelined. He out-carried Elijah Penny 14-9 and also had three targets as opposed to Penny's zero. Booker found the end zone for the third time this season, icing the game late in the fourth quarter with a 19-yard rush. In the three weeks Barkley has missed -- including the game he exited early -- Booker has earned at least 15 touches and racked up over 50 yards. There's a possibility that Barkley returns in Week 8, but Booker figures to benefit from his absence should Barkley remain sidelined.

Booker is expected to serve as New York's lead back Sunday against the Panthers with Saquon Barkley (ankle) having been ruled out for a second straight week, Matt Citak of the Giants' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Since Barkley exited early in the Week 5 loss to the Cowboys, Booker has taken over as the team's unquestioned bell cow out of the backfield. The Giants have turned to fullback Elijhaa Penny on the rare occasions Booker has left the field, while the third option on the depth chart (Gary Brightwell) has been limited exclusively to special-teams work. With Barkley out again, Booker should be in store for another sizable role Week 7 after playing 71 percent of the snaps and earning 16 touches (12 carries, four receptions) in the 38-11 loss to the Rams in Week 6. Considering the Giants trailed big early and were forced into catchup mode for most of the second half, Booker could see his carry and snap count rise if New York is able to stay competitive enough to follow a more neutral game script against Carolina.

Booker rushed 12 times for 41 yards and secured all four targets for 28 yards in the Giants' 38-11 loss to the Rams on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
As the final score implies, game script put a significant crimp on Booker's overall rushing opportunities. However, the veteran back acquitted himself well when he did have a chance to touch the ball, serving as a valuable outlet option for Daniel Jones through the air while making the best of limited running room. Booker will be set for another start Week 7 against a tough Panthers defense if Saquon Barkley (ankle) remains out for another contest.

Booker will be the Giants' No. 1 running back Sunday against the Rams with Saquon Barkley (ankle) ruled out, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
After Barkley's early departure Week 5 at Dallas, Booker handled just about all of the RB work, logging 60 of 68 offensive snaps en route to 58 total yards and two TDs on 19 touches. Booker aside, only fullback Elijaah Penny had snaps (six on offense) and a touch (a four-yard carry), while rookie sixth-rounder Gary Brightwell only saw action on special teams (16 plays) among the Giants' options out of the backfield. Booker will take on a Rams defense Sunday that has given up the 14th-most yards from scrimmage per game (135.8) and four touchdowns to running backs in five contests this season.

Booker rushed 16 times for 42 yards and a touchdown and brought in three of four targets for 16 yards and another score in the Giants' 44-20 loss to the Cowboys on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Booker took on an exponentially larger role than usual with Saquon Barkley exiting the game for good in the first quarter with a rolled left ankle. The journeyman turned in a solid performance considering he had to play a significant portion of the game against a defense that didn't have to worry about Daniel Jones (concussion), Barkley, Kenny Golladay (knee), Darius Slayton (hamstring) and Sterling Shepard (hamstring). Booker's one-yard touchdown run late in the second quarter and his three-yard scoring grab late in the fourth gave a bit of extra fuel to what should already be robust waiver-wire appeal in coming days; Barkley, who Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports was seen with crutches and a walking boot after the game, appears likely to miss the Week 6 contest versus the Rams, at minimum.

Booker recorded one carry for six yards and caught his only target for six yards in Sunday's 27-21 win over the Saints.
EDGE Analysis
With Saquon Barkley looking like the star running back the Giants drafted in 2018, Booker was an afterthought in the Giants' offense Sunday. It will be difficult for Booker to be anything more than a serviceable backup to spell Barkley when he needs a rest because of the latter's three-down skill set. The 29-year-old veteran's best bet for fantasy production would come if Barkley were to go down with an injury during the season. Next up for the Giants is a divisional matchup against the surging Cowboys.

Booker (coach's decision) is listed as inactive Sunday versus the Falcons, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Booker's deactivation, the Giants finally may be comfortable with Saquon Barkley taking on his customary huge workload out of the backfield. In any case, Booker will yield backup duties to rookie Gary Brightwell, who likely will see most of his action on special teams Sunday.

Booker recorded two carries for nine yards while hauling in his lone target for two yards in Thursday's 30-29 loss to Washington.
EDGE Analysis
Although Saquon Barkley was questionable for Thursday's Week 2 matchup as he continues to recover from his 2020 knee surgery, he played 84 percent of the team's offensive snaps. As a result, Booker was on the field for just 14 percent of the offensive snaps and recorded three touches. The 2016 fourth-rounder should continue to see a minimal role while Barkley is healthy.

Booker had four carries for seven yards and caught his lone target for six yards Sunday against the Broncos.
EDGE Analysis
If this is Booker's output when Saquon Barkley is limited, you can imagine what it might be when Barkley's carrying the full load again. Booker is the clear backup at least, so if Barkley were to get hurt again, the former would see a decent workload behind one of the league's worst offensive lines.

Booker rushed seven times for 14 yards and caught his only target for three yards in Sunday's 22-20 preseason loss to the Patriots.
EDGE Analysis
Booker started ahead of Corey Clement, but despite a relatively large preseason workload, he couldn't get much going against New England's defense. In comparison, Clement rushed four times for 24 yards but was not targeted. As Booker now approaches the regular season, he's seemingly still the favorite to serve as Saquon Barkley's (knee) top backup, which could lend itself to more opportunities if Barkley is slowed at all in the early going, beginning with Week 1's matchup versus the Broncos.
