Hopkins missed Wednesday's practice due to a rib injury, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hopkins sat out every session last week, too, with the same health concern, only to lead Arizona wide receivers in offensive snap share (88 percent), per usual, this past Sunday in Tennessee. The fact he was active may have been a ruse to free up fellow WRs A.J. Green and Christian Kirk, who both surpassed 100 yards receiving while Hopkins settled for 21 yards on three catches and six targets. Hopkins rarely has missed actual games during his nine-year career, combining for two absences overall. Even if his activity level in practice this week remains zero, he's not really a candidate to sit out Sunday against the Rams, barring a change in tone from coach Kliff Kingsbury and the Cardinals.

Hopkins (rib) brought in three of six targets for 31 yards in the Cardinals' 31-19 win over the Jaguars on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Hopkins' status was in doubt until inactives were announced 90 minutes before kickoff, and given his final numbers Sunday, he may have been best served sitting out the contest. The star wideout did tie A.J. Green for the second-most targets on the Cardinals, but he still limped to his lowest yardage tally since a Week 16 matchup against the Buccaneers in 2019. Hopkins will aim to get healthier and back to his usual numbers in a tough Week 4 road divisional showdown against the Rams.

Hopkins (rib) is listed as active Sunday at Jacksonville, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hopkins managed a rib injury this week and didn't practice at all, entering the weekend with a question hanging over his availability. There was an expectation he'd be a game-time call, and while he'll be available to the Cardinals it'll be interesting to see if he can handle his typical workload of 90-plus percent of the offensive snaps. Hopkins has yet to draw a massive target share this season, with just 12 looks through two games, but three of those have resulted in touchdowns.

Hopkins appears to be in line to attempt to play through his rib injury Sunday against the Jaguars, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Meanwhile, Adam Schefter of ESPN notes that his sources indicate that the wideout is "pretty confident" he'll play, "but not 100 (percent he will)." Fortunately for those considering Hopkins in Week 3 fantasy lineups, the Cardinals kick off at 1:00 ET on Sunday.

Hopkins (ribs) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game at Jacksonville, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
As expected, after coach Kliff Kingsbury revealed earlier Friday that Hopkins would come down to a game-time decision ahead of the team's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff. The wideout didn't practice at all this week, but it might not mean as much for Hopkins as other players, given his long history of playing through nagging injuries without many practice reps. However, he typically logs at least one limited practice, so there is real cause for concern this week. If Hopkins ends up sitting, the Cardinals can trot out A.J. Green, Rondale Moore and Christian Kirk for three-wide sets, with Andy Isabella and Antoine Wesley then providing depth.

Coach Kliff Kingsbury said Hopkins (ribs) will be a game-time decision for Sunday's matchup with the Jaguars, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
At this point, the Cardinals might as well make it a game-time call for strategic reasons even if they have a strong idea one way or the other. Hopkins reportedly missed a third straight practice Friday, but only after playing 59 snaps (97 percent) in the Week 2 win over Minnesota. If he ends up missing Week 3, the Cardinals could use each of A.J. Green, Rondale Moore and Christian Kirk in full-time roles, with Andy Isabella and Antoine Wesley then providing depth.

Hopkins (ribs) didn't participate in the open portion of Friday's practice, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hopkins is a regular on the injury report and often misses practice, but three consecutive DNPs would nonetheless create some level of concern about his availability for Sunday's game in Jacksonville. Neither player nor team has said much about the rib injury, making it difficult to decipher if the Cardinals are genuinely concerned.

Hopkins (ribs) didn't participate in Thursday's practice, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hopkins has kicked off Week 3 prep with back-to-back DNPs, the result of a rib injury. Whether it's in Arizona or his previous employer in Houston, he's regularly received days off to tend to health concerns and also for maintenance. Hopkins will have one more chance to prove his health ahead of Sunday's visit to Jacksonville.

Hopkins (ribs) wasn't present for the open portion of Thursday's practice and is expected to go down as a non-participant on the Cardinals' official report, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The severity of Hopkins' rib injury isn't yet clear, but he's now opened the week with back-to-back absences at practice. In recent years, Hopkins has routinely sat out practices or handled light loads while managing minor injuries or even getting routine maintenance, so his lack of reps thus far in Week 3 doesn't necessarily put his availability for Sunday's game in Jacksonville in danger. The Cardinals will release their final practice report of the week Friday, which will provide more definitive word on the star wideout's status for Sunday.

Hopkins didn't practice Wednesday due to a rib injury, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hopkins has yet to hit the 100-yard mark through two contests, but he nonetheless has been productive en route to 10 catches (on 12 targets) for 137 yards and three touchdowns. He may be poised to reach triple digits in receiving Sunday against a Jaguars defense that has allowed 11.2 yards per target to wideouts this season, which is good for third worst in the NFL. Having said that, Hopkins first will have to work his way through a health concern to be cleared for game action.
