Stewart (thigh) was a full participant in practice Thursday, Nicki Jhabvala of The Denver Post reports.

EDGE Analysis

Stewart was limited in practice Wednesday so his full participation Thursday is a reassuring sign for Denver. Barring any major setbacks, the veteran safety should resume his starting role -- as he's been playing upwards of 60 snaps a contest the past couple of weeks.

Stewart (groin) will start Sunday against the Cowboys, Nicki Jhabvala of The Denver Post reports.

EDGE Analysis

Stewart tweaked his groin in the season opener and was limited in practice leading up to this game. He'll have a full workload ahead with a tough Cowboys' offense coming to town, so expect a modest fantasy contribution.

Stewart (groin) is expected to play Sunday against the Cowboys, according to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport.

EDGE Analysis

Stewart (groin) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Cowboys.

EDGE Analysis

Stewart was a limited practice participant on Thursday and Friday, and the fact that he was on the field is a good sign for his return. The Broncos' starting free safety made six tackles (five solo) in the season opener, but if he can't play Sunday expect to see Will Parks to fill in his place.

Stewart (groin) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice.

EDGE Analysis

Stewart sustained the injury during Monday night's season opening victory over the Chargers and did not participate in Wednesday's practice. The short turnaround from Monday night could partially explain why the 29-year-old was held out Wednesday, but his status for Sunday's game against the Cowboys remains unclear.

Stewart signed a four-year, $28 million extension with the Broncos on Saturday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

EDGE Analysis

Stewart has experienced somewhat of a rebirth in his seventh season, recording 44 combined tackles, three interceptions and one fumble recovery so far this season. His three interceptions in 2016 match his career total prior to this year, and he is one of the reasons the Broncos defense has been so dominant this season. He will continue starting at free safety for Denver.

Stewart recorded three turnovers, two picks and a fumble recovery, to go along with two tackles and two passes defensed in Sunday's win over New Orleans.

EDGE Analysis

Stewart's first pick was on a beautifully tracked errant deep ball. His next two turnovers were either deflected or dislodged by Bradley Roby, with Stewart finding himself in the right place at the right time. Stewart recorded more turnovers on Sunday than any full season of his since 2011 and while he's never been much of a game-breaker, the veteran is certainly on a hot streak - having picked off a pass or forced a fumble in three of his last four games.

Stewart was fined $18,231 for roughing the passer during Week 1's regular season opener against the Panthers, USA Today's Tom Pelissero reports.

EDGE Analysis

Stewart's illegal hit on Panthers quarterback Cam Newton warranted the minimum fine amount for a first offense in 2016. The free safety will look to put the issue behind him as he prepares for a Week 2 tilt against the Colts.

Stewart tallied 63 tackles, a forced fumble, two fumble recoveries, a pick and 10 passes defended in 2015. He added 11 tackles, a sack, a forced fumble, an interception and three passes defended in the playoffs.

EDGE Analysis

Playing a jack-of-all-trades role, Stewart ranked third on the team in tackles while making his presence felt in the passing game. A huge interception in the AFC Championship Game and forced fumble in Super Bowl 50 set a favorable tone for this offseason's contract negotiations, but those negotiations will likely conclude with a move to a different city. Von Miller, Malik Jackson, Brock Osweiler and Danny Trevathan have all been identified as priorities for Denver to resign this offseason. With it doubtful that the team will have the money to keep all four, Stewart is unlikely to be a factor in the Broncos' future.
