Dallas Clark caught three passes for 15 yards in the Bucs' Week 4 loss to the Redskins. At age 33, Clark can't get open and can't do anything after the catch. He's on pace for 36 catches, 324 yards and no touchdowns as the Bucs head into their bye. Even owners in the deepest of leagues can do better at the TE2 spot.

Dallas Clark was held without a catch versus the Cowboys in Week 3. He was targeted just once, on the final drive. Clark doesn't play in most base packages, which means his production is heavily dependent on two-minute drills. He's not worthy of a roster spot in 12- and 14-team leagues.

On his only target of the day, Bucs TE Dallas Clark registered a 33 yard reception along the sideline in Sunday's Week 1 win over the Panthers. Clark was seldolmly used in the game and fullback Erik Lorig received three more targets than the ex-Colt. Greg Schiano has never been known to highlight tight end play and the Bucs seemed determined to take a run-first mentality moving forward.

Dallas Clark hasn't missed a single practice yet at Bucs camp. It's a promising sign for a player that's 33 years old and has missed 15 games over the last two seasons. Clark has been one of the biggest surprises in Tampa, meshing well with Josh Freeman and looking healthy. Still, we'd make him prove this rejuvenation is for real before taking a TE2 flier here.

According to the Tampa Bay Times, Dallas Clark "doesn't look like a guy who has had the numerous injury issues of the past two years." Per beat writer Stephen Holder, Clark hasn't "missed a beat" through the first few days of Bucs camp. Holder does allow, however, that Clark "hasn't been perfect when it comes to catching the ball." Clark struggled mightily with drops last season. A massive injury risk at age 33, Clark is Rotoworld's No. 37 tight end.

The Tampa Tribune believes the Bucs' plan is to "de-emphasize the tight end a little bit in the passing game" this season. The Bucs have improved their wide receiver corps and plan to operate a more run-oriented offense under Greg Schiano. Kellen Winslow's 114 targets were fourth-most among tight ends last season. Dallas Clark won't come close to that number while splitting snaps with Luke Stocker.

Dallas Clark's contract with the Buccaneers is for one year and includes $1 million guaranteed. His salary is $2.7 million, and there are no frills. He didn't get a signing bonus and can earn no incentives. The salary will become guaranteed once Clark officially becomes a member of Tampa's Week 1 roster, and he'll be a Buc barring an abomination of a training camp. Clark figures to be Josh Freeman's primary slot receiver on passing downs, with Luke Stocker staying on the line.

Bucs signed TE Dallas Clark, formerly of the Colts. Clark has a big name, but he's a late-career player who was a shell of his former self last season. Consistently exposed as a blocker and dropping eight passes among just over 60 targets, Clark was one of the weakest tight ends in football. Not all can be blamed on Curtis Painter and Dan Orlovsky, as Clark was a contributor in the Colts' woes. In Tampa, he doesn't figure to crack the fantasy radar. Clark will be a bit player, seeing the field only on passing downs in Greg Schiano's run-first attack.

ESPN's Adam Schefter seconds an NFL Network report that a deal between the Bucs and free agent Dallas Clark is imminent. Schefter reports that the deal should happen "in the next 24 hours." The Giants' one-year, $2.5 million deal with Martellus Bennett should be roughly the ceiling for Clark's Bucs contract. Bennett's deal is heavy on incentives.

NFL Network's Jeff Darlington reports that free agent Dallas Clark could sign with the Buccaneers "as soon as today." Darlington confirms Clark visited Tampa headquarters last week, as initially reported by ESPN's Adam Schefter. The deal should be worth something close to the veteran's minimum. Kellen Winslow figures to be released in a corresponding move, though the Bucs may keep him on the trade block for a short period before making that official. Clark, who has spent his entire career with the Colts, is entering his tenth season in the league.
