Jaguars waived LB Clint Session and WR/TE Maurice Stovall. FB Will Ta'ufo'ou was signed in a corresponding move. On the PUP list all season, Session had no timetable for a return following a trio of 2011 concussions. His career may well be over after the Jags signed him to a five-year, $29 million contract following the lockout. Stovall was a special teamer in Jacksonville.

Jaguars placed WLB Clint Session (concussions) and DE John Chick (knee) on reserve/PUP. Session sustained three concussions in 2011 and had a severe one in college. Much like Jahvid Best and Austin Collie, he's wisely exercising extreme caution now. The Jags will be forced to roll with Russell Allen at weak-side linebacker. He had 38 tackles, one interception and two forced fumbles in six starts last season.

Jaguars coach Mike Mularkey indicated as training camp started that WLB Clint Session (concussions) has no timetable for return. Mularkey sounded like Session might miss the entire season. "It's definitely a concern," said the new Jaguars' coach. "We don't know the future with him." The Jags overpaid Session to the tune of $29 million over five years last offseason, with $11.5 million guaranteed. He appeared in ten games in 2011.

Jaguars WLB Clint Session (concussion) has still not been cleared to practice. Session sustained three concussions last season before his season was ended in November. He also had a "terrifying" concussion in college. Beat writer Vito Stellino suggests that Session's career could be in jeopardy. Russell Allen is the backup at weak-side linebacker.

Jaguars WLB Clint Session insists he feels better now than he did before a pair of concussions ended his season prematurely in November. Session required an "active" concussion rehab program at the University of Pittsburgh to aid the healing process. Although the 27-year-old struggled a bit in coverage, he was a key component of Jacksonville's improved run defense in the first half of the season. His healthy return will send Russell Allen back to a reserve role in 2012.

Jaguars OLB Clint Session left Thursday's preseason opener with a head injury. Session unloaded on Patriots TE Aaron Hernandez, causing a fumble. Session took the worst of the hit, though, and was seen going through concussion tests on the sidelines.

Jaguars agreed to terms with OLB Clint Session on a five-year, $30 million contract. Linebackers are cleaning house on this year's market, thanks in large part to Jacksonville. Session will receive $11.5 million guaranteed on top of MLB Paul Posluszny's $15 million in guarantees. The Jags reportedly "love" Session, and the Colts' leading tackler from 2009 will start on the weak side opposite Daryl Smith in a revamped linebacking corps. GM Gene Smith must now turn his attention to acquiring a safety.

The Jaguars have reportedly begun negotiating with free agent LB Clint Session. The Colts leading tackler in 2009 and an impact player when healthy, Session would be an upgrade on free agent Kirk Morrison at weak-side linebacker. Indy may not seriously compete to re-sign Session with Pat Angerer waiting in the wings.
