Cundiff was released by the Bills on Tuesday.

Cundiff was signed last week with Dan Carpenter slowed by a knee injury, but it appears the team is not as concerned about Carpenter's health heading into Week 6. The Bills signed quarterback Josh Johnson to take Cundiff's place on the roster.

The Browns released Cundiff (knee) with an injury settlement Saturday, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. Cundiff hurt his knee in practice Thursday, and his recent struggles made him expendable anyway. Cundiff was replaced by Garrett Hartley on the roster.

Cundiff (knee) missed practice Friday and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Bengals, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports. With that in mind, coach Mike Pettine indicated Friday that the Browns have a contingency plan in place if Cundiff can't kick on Sunday. In such a scenario, the team would need to make a roster move by Saturday afternoon.

Cundiff kicked a 39-yard field goal, missed from a distance of 40 yards, and converted all three of his extra point attempts in Sunday's loss to the Colts. Cundiff has now missed a field goal in five straight contests, which may soon land him on the hot seat in Cleveland. He's kicked just one field goal over 50 yards this season, giving him limited utility as a fantasy option.

Cundiff kicked a 22-yard field goal and missed an attempt from 37 yards in Sunday's loss to the Bills. He was 1-for-1 on extra points. Cundiff followed up last week's heroics with a bit of a dud, which can largely be blamed on the Browns' sputtering offense. He's now missed a field goal in four straight games, however, becoming a slight liability for fantasy owners.

Cundiff kicked four field goals, including a game-winning 37-yarder as time expired, and converted both extra point attempts in Sunday's victory over the Falcons. Cundiff's only miss was a 60-yard bomb that was nearly ran back by Devin Hester, but the Browns were able to avoid catastrophe. Even though all four of Cundiff's makes were under 40 yards, it was still the best fantasy day of the season for the 34-year-old kicker.

Cundiff missed a 38-yard field goal and converted his only extra point attempt in Sunday's loss to the Texans. Cundiff turned in his worst fantasy performance of the season, but that was largely a product of a struggling Cleveland offense that only managed to find the endzone once. His performance of late has been disappointing for fantasy owners, as he's now missed field goals under 45 yards in back-to-back contests

Cundiff hit from 32 yards, and missed a 44-yard attempt, while going 3-for-3 on extra points in Thursday's victory over the Bengals. Cundiff missed his first field goal since prior to the Browns' Week 4 bye, but it didn't have a major impact on the game, as the team still pulled through with a convincing victory. It was another modest evening for fantasy owners, who would have loved to see that final kick find the uprights in order to help start their weeks off on the right track. On the bright side, Cundiff still had more fantasy points than opposing quarterback Andy Dalton.

Cundiff hit field goals of 49, 43 and 29 yards and converted his only extra point attempt in Sunday's victory over the Buccaneers. Cundiff has now knocked through three field goals in back-to-back weeks, while converting 11 straight attempts. The veteran has been consistent this season, but remains in the middle of the pack in terms of fantasy kickers.

Cundiff converted field goals of 52, 33 and 26 yards, in addition to tacking on two extra points in Sunday's victory over the Raiders. Cundiff's 52-yarder set a new season-high, as the 34-year-old turned in his best fantasy day of the 2014 season. He's now 8-for-8 on field goal attempts over his last four contests.
