Cowboys released DE Anthony Hargrove. That didn't last long. Hargrove, 30 in July, was signed just over a month ago. He didn't do a whole lot at OTAs or minicamp, mainly working off to the side. Hargrove hasn't played in a game since Week 17 of the 2011 season.

Still just 28 years old, the versatile Hargrove racked up six sacks and three forced fumbles as an interior rusher with New Orleans in 2009-2010. Hargrove has been informed that he'll be active for Week 1. The Seahawks figure to use him at defensive tackle on passing downs, spelling "3-technique" Alan Branch.

Eagles signed DE Anthony Hargrove, formerly of the Saints. Capable of playing both end and tackle, Hargrove provides the Eagles with a versatile reserve option along their defensive line. He appeared to take a step back as a pass rusher last season, but did show improvement as a run stopper. He's a solid signing for a team that's made a number of them this summer.
