Luck will have his reps limited early in training camp after missing OTAs and June minicamp while recovering from a calf strain, Joel A. Erickson of The Indianapolis Star reports. "Just working [Luck] back in," general manager Chris Ballard said Wednesday. "We don't want him to get out here and have a setback."

EDGE Analysis

While it would be optimal to see Luck going full speed at the onset of camp, it doesn't sound like he's in any danger of missing the start of the regular season. After the Colts upgraded their skill-position weapons in the offseason in addition to maintaining one of the league's best offensive lines, Luck has a prime setup to pile up yards and touchdowns.

Luck (calf) is healthy for the start of training camp, Tom Pelissero of NFL.com reports.

EDGE Analysis

Luck was held out of OTAs and June minicamp while recovering from a calf strain. His availability for training camp never seemed in doubt, and it appears T.Y. Hilton (ankle), Eric Ebron (groin) and Jack Doyle (hip/kidney) also avoided the PUP list. Between the skill-position weapons, the coaching staff and the offensive line, Luck has a prime setup to pile up yards and touchdowns.

Head coach Frank Reich said Tuesday that Luck (calf) will not participate in practice this week, Mike Chappell of Fox 59 News Indianapolis reports.

EDGE Analysis

With that, training camp in late July will be the earliest the quarterback will see the field this offseason. It appears likely that Luck will be back in time for training camp, however, as Reich reiterated that there is no real concern surrounding Luck's health. Rather, they are just proceeding with caution this early in the offseason.

Luck (calf) did not participate in Tuesday's practice, Kevin Bowen of 1070 The Fan Indianapolis reports.

EDGE Analysis

At this point, it seems pretty safe to say that Luck will be held out of all of OTAs for the third straight season. The calf strain the quarterback is resting doesn't seem to be a huge concern for the Colts, and they should have another update on his health once the team begins its mandatory minicamp next week.

Luck (calf) isn't practicing Wednesday, Joel A. Erickson of The Indianapolis Star reports.

EDGE Analysis

A calf strain has kept Luck off the field for OTAs, allowing Jacoby Brissett to work with the first-team offense. As long as it doesn't involve his throwing shoulder, a minor injury at this time of year shouldn't really matter for Luck. Training camp will provide plenty of opportunities for Luck to work with new targets Devin Funchess and Parris Campbell.

Luck did not participate in OTAs on Tuesday due to a calf strain, Stephen Holder of The Athletic reports.

EDGE Analysis

There appear to be no concerns coming from the Colts regarding their starting quarterback's health, as Luck has felt healthy all offseason, and he said last month it's been the best of his career. Indianapolis is likely just taking extra precautions with Luck this early in the offseason.

Luck said the 2019 offseason has been the best of his professional career, Mike Chappell of Fox 59 News Indianapolis reports.

EDGE Analysis

Following three consecutive offseasons devoted to rehab/recovery for his right shoulder, Luck was finally able to step away from his job and took the opportunity to get married in March. He's now back alongside his teammates for the start of the offseason program, with a plan that doesn't include any throwing during the initial phase of workouts. The Colts haven't made much noise with free-agent additions on offense, but they already have a strong foundation and still have a ton of cap space to supplement their roster before Week 1. Luck and coach Frank Reich enter their second offseason working together, with optimism for improved pass-catching depth if wideout Devin Funchess can bounce back from a disappointing 2018 campaign in Carolina and tight end Jack Doyle (hip) can get healthy. Indianapolis also has the makings of an elite offensive line, led by left tackle Anthony Castonzo, left guard Quenton Nelson and center Ryan Kelly.

Luck completed 67 percent of his passes for 4,592 yards with 39 touchdowns and 15 interceptions in 2018. He gained 148 rushing yards and no touchdowns on 46 carries.

EDGE Analysis

Fourteen and a half months ago, Luck's future in football was in question due to unrelenting problems with his throwing shoulder. A gradual and patient recovery process has made the quarterback as good as new again, though, as Luck -- making his return after missing the entire 2017 season -- turned in arguably the best season of his career while leading a slow-starting Colts squad to the playoffs for the first time in four years. The performance earned him PFWA's 2018 NFL Comeback Player of the Year honors, according to Andrew Walker of the Colts' official site, and positions Luck as one of the most desirable quarterbacks in fantasy ahead of the 2019 campaign. His standing only figures to only improve depending on what Indianapolis does with its league-leading boatload of cap space.

Luck completed 19 of 36 passes for 203 yards and one touchdown while rushing twice for 17 yards in Saturday's 31-13 playoff loss to the Chiefs.

EDGE Analysis

The Colts didn't manage any offensive points until the fourth quarter -- though Adam Vinatieri did miss a 23-yard field goal -- as Luck went 7 of 12 for 76 yards in the first half. The usually porous Chiefs defense put on their best display of the season, as they were able to apply pressure and disrupt Luck's passing lanes early on. The 5.6 yards per attempt represent his worst output since being shutout at Jacksonville in Week 13.

Luck completed 19 of 32 passes for 222 yards and had two touchdowns and one interceptions while rushing eight times for 29 yards.

EDGE Analysis

The overall numbers aren't overwhelming, but Luck helped build a 21-0 lead by going 16 of 22 for 192 yards and two touchdowns in the first half. The Colts defense stymied the Texans all afternoon, allowing Luck to hand off to Marlon Mack and bleed the clock in the second half to secure the win. The veteran signal caller has a marque matchup next week against a Chiefs defense that is second worst in the NFL against the pass (273.4 YPG)
