Jeffery (shoulder) isn't practicing Thursday, but he is working with the training staff off to the side, Zach Berman of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

EDGE Analysis

Considered day-to-day with a strained shoulder, Jeffery apparently is making some progress as he looks to get back on the practice field before the Eagles' first exhibition contest. His role as the No. 1 wideout isn't in question, but the Eagles probably want him to get some work during the preseason to help build chemistry with Carson Wentz.

Jeffery is considered day-to-day with a strained shoulder, NJ.com's Eliot Shorr-Parks reports.

EDGE Analysis

This confirms Jeffery's injury isn't serious, even though he'll miss practice Wednesday for a second straight day. He's locked in as the Eagles' top receiver and should still have plenty of time to build chemistry with Carson Wentz.

Jeffery (shoulder) will miss a second straight practice Wednesday, ESPN.com's Tim McManus reports.

EDGE Analysis

Unlike teammate Torrey Smith (back), Jeffery won't be able to limit his absence to just one day. There hasn't been any indication the shoulder injury is serious, but it will start to be cause for concern if he doesn't return to practice by next week. While his role as the Eagles' top wideout isn't in question, Jeffery would benefit from staying on the practice field as he looks to build chemistry with Carson Wentz and prove that his history of nagging injuries is a thing of the past.

Jeffery is sitting out Tuesday's practice with a shoulder injury, Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

EDGE Analysis

With Torrey Smith (back), Donnel Pumphrey (hamstring) and LeGarrette Blount (personal) also sitting out, the Philadelphia offense will look much like it did last season. There's been no indication any of the players is dealing with a serious issue.

Jeffery has enjoyed his best offseason since 2013, according to wide receivers coach Mike Groh, ESPN's Tim McManus reports.

EDGE Analysis

Jeffery worked under Groh in Chicago from 2013 to 2015, and the wide receivers coach says he's pleased with where Jeffery is both physically and mentally upon being reunited in Philadelphia. It's worth noting that Jeffery's lone Pro Bowl appearance came in 2013, when he caught a career-high 89 passes for 1,421 yards and seven touchdowns. Given that success, it's intruiging to hear Groh compare Jeffery's current form to that of his best offseason to date. While Jeffery still needs to solidify his chemistry with quarterback Carson Wentz ahead of the regular season, the fact that he'll be playing on a one-year contract should motivate him to have another strong campaign.

Jeffery is signing a one-year, $14 million deal with the Eagles, ESPN.com's Josina Anderson reports.

EDGE Analysis

Coming off a pair of disappointing, injury-plagued seasons, Jeffery clearly believes he can boost his value and then cash in with a multi-year contract to his liking next offseason. Despite being hampered by a slew of lower-body issues, Jeffery produced 1,628 receiving yards in 21 games (77.5 YPG) the past two seasons, after posting back-to-back 1,000-yard showings in 2013 and 2014. The Eagles also added Torrey Smith to a receiving corps that already included Jordan Matthews and TE Zach Ertz, but Jeffery will be the clear favorite to lead the team targets if he's healthy. Eagles QB Carson Wentz could take a big step forward in his second season.

The Bears won't apply the franchise tag to Jeffery for the 2017 season, allowing him to become a free agent, ESPN.com's Jeff Dickerson reports.

EDGE Analysis

While playing under the franchise tag in 2016, Jeffery turned in a rather disappointing season, hauling in 52 catches for 821 yards and only two touchdowns while missing four games due to a suspension for violating the league's performance-enhancing drug policy. Despite his downturn in performance the last two years, the 26-year-old Jeffery figures to generate plenty of interest in free agency, and could see his numbers climb if he lands in a favorable passing offense. The Bears would likely have interest in retaining Jeffery, but they could be priced out of his market.

Jeffery caught one pass for 10 yards in Sunday's 38-10 loss to the Vikings, and he ended the season with 52 receptions for 821 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

EDGE Analysis

Jeffery played this past season under the franchise tag, and he's set to become an unrestricted free agent. After failing to post a 100-yard game since Week 1, it would seem improbable that the Bears would apply the tag to him again in 2017, which would allow him to test the market in search for a new team. If that's the case, his fantasy value would be directly related to where he winds up, but he'll certainly emerge as at least a top-30 fantasy option at wide receiver. Despite failing to be an elite option in 2016, he posted at least 70 receiving yards in seven different games while the Bears started three different quarterbacks, and his fantasy value was lowered by the fact he scored just two touchdowns in 12 games.

Jeffery (illness) does not have an injury designation ahead of Sunday's game against the Vikings after fully practicing Friday.

EDGE Analysis

Jeffery missed Thursday's practice due to an illness, but he returned in a complete capacity Friday to remove any question over his Week 17 status. In Jeffery's prior meeting with the Vikings this season, he caught four passes on eight targets for 63 yards and a touchdown.
